We reserved a suite that stated it had a jetted tub AND a private hot tub but it did not have a hot tub - only a jetted tub. I always like an outside hot tub and was disappointed that was not the case. Also had lots of steps to a third floor room I wouldn’t have booked if I knew there were that many stairs, we are 67 and 68. Decor was out dated with mauve tiles and countertop and floral tile looking walls in bathroom. A recent rain had washed ruts in short gravel road leading to the property. Positives were the view from the deck and the cleanliness. Loved the log cabin and wood bed.

Pleasant staff and great view but the property is old and very rundown. I stayed 20 years ago at this property and it was very nice. At that time, it was about 20 years old already.Sadly the property remains in its original condition with old cabinets in the kitchen and bathrooms, poor amenities, outdoor patio chair cushions were ripped to shreds and the furniture inside included a 40 year-old over stuffed La-Z-Boy rocker that was filthy. The room we booked was completely unacceptable and they did move us to a cabin the next day. But every one of the rooms on this property is very old and in serious need of repairs. The Wi-Fi didn’t work. The view is fabulous, and the staff was very nice. But I can’t recommend it.

The vibe is rustic and private, and the view of Beaver Lake from our deck was spectacular. It's a little secluded, which we really liked. You do have to drive a little to get to some of the more touristy areas, but we knew that, and we thought it was nice. It was lovely being away from the more trafficked areas at night and sitting on the deck looking at the stars. We were there for four nights, and our check-in was completely remote and easy. We received detailed instructions via email, including where to find the key. It was very private, which was perfect. The rooms are not cleaned during your stay, unless you call and request it, but that is all explained in the provided instructions. There was a phone number where we could call if we wanted fresh towels or anything else, but we were fine using the same ones, so we didn't need to call for anything. This is important because, while there is an office, it was always locked and we never saw anyone there. You have to call if you need anything. The photos on the website look gorgeous, but they also look like they might have been taken a long time ago. The place could do with a little updating, but it was clean. The bathroom is tiny - just barely big enough for a sink, toilet, and shower, but no tub. If you want a bath, you have to use the jacuzzi in the middle of the living room/kitchen/bedroom (kind of awkward placement, to be honest). We didn't spend much time in the room anyway, and it was certainly adequate.

Perfect getaway with awesome view

We stayed in a private cabin that was very spacious, clean, with the rustic look of a mountain resort lodge with every luxury we could imagine. Breathtaking view from high above Beaver Lake. Pet-friendly so we were able to bring our Sheltie who also felt right at home with so much space to roam inside. Maybe the most quiet, relaxing vacation we've ever taken.
