The property is an interesting setup. Quite unexpected coming from US. The entrance looks nothing like any hotel I’ve ever seen, but more like an apartment complex. Once inside the hotel (5 or 6 rooms) it’s quaint, clean and comfortable. Felt secure and relaxing. Overall nice experience.

The hotel and room were great. The location was also great for walking to the main attractions and restaurants. However the main issue we had was with the arrival process for gaining entry to the room as we arrived in the evening after the Reception was closed for the day. We were sent instructions to get us into the main building and also the door to the reception area. We got in the main door ok but the code to get us into the reception area was incorrect. We then spent an hour outside the main reception trying to contact someone to let us in. Eventually we were given the correct door code. We complained about this the next day. They knew about the change of code but didn’t offer an apology. I can see today that the instructions for out of hours access is still showing the incorrect access code. This needs to be sorted asap as others will be similarly affected. The Receptionist didn’t seem bothered to fix it when we mentioned. We had a great time in Rome but the out of hours access problems are not acceptable. If you’re going and will be arriving after hours - make sure you get the right code before you arrive!!!

We spent 6 days here while visiting Rome, and we could not be happier with our stay. The room was comfortable and clean with daily housekeeping. The AC was wonderful. The bathroom was very modern, and this may have been the hottest shower I have ever enjoyed. The staff was courteous and professional. There are only 6 rooms and very homey. The building has a 1920s style elevator which was a fun ride. The front desk has limited hours open, so you get a key to the big doors at street level, and a code for third floor lobby. We felt very safe at all times. We walked to neighborhood restaurants, a grocery, and a bakery. Taxi service was easy through the Freenow app. For the price, it is the perfect place to stay. In a quiet neighborhood, but close to everything in the ancient part of the city. Enjoy!
