Our stay at Gora Hanaougi was luxurious and fantastic. The property was stunningly beautiful and immaculately maintained. Our room was sprawling (we rented one of the deluxe suites) and it was more space than we knew what to do with. The beds were so comfortable and the gently bubbling, hot spring filed onsen in our room was an utter delight. The dinner was fantastic, with each course more beautiful than the next. Our attendant was so kind and bubbly — we loved her! Also this hotel uniquely had an elevator that took you directly to Souzan station, which provided immediate access to the cable car and ropeways. We didn’t have time to use the public bath in the hotel, but I would imagine their attention to detail extended to it as well. I would highly recommend this hotel and hope to be back one day!

Thank you for an incredible stay. Miu was so attentive and lovely and made the stay extra special for us. The rooms are absolutely gorgeous with a wonderful bath in them and in the traditional Japanese style which we really wanted on our trip. The views from the top floor are amazing and the food, both breakfast and dinner is absolutely exquisite- kaiseki dining at some of it's absolute best. The staff are all extremely attentive and friendly, and the venue also offers an elevator right to the start of the Hakone ropeway which was so convenient both getting there but also exploring Hakone. The onsen baths, of which there are multiple to. Hoose from are also lovely with hot thermal water. If you are looking for a place to stay in Hakone this is a truly outstanding choice.

This was the most pleasant and luxurious stay that I have ever had the pleasure of experiencing. From the moment you walk onto the property to the moment you check-out, the staff are there to help you with luggage, check-in, settling in, and planning your days both on the property and to see the surrounding area. This property is located in the gorgeous mountains of Hakone an offers the most gorgeous views of the mountains right from the room and balconies where you can bathe in your private onsen. Also included in your stay are traditional breakfast and dinner which on their own are worth the price. This experience is nothing short of amazing and I would recommend anyone travelling to Japan to experience at least one night here.
