+ Good location, close to the town centre. Warm welcome by the host. - We wish we would have read the Google reviews (3.6/5) before booking: Strong cat urine smell, we were not able to use the balcony. Cold cigarette smell in the common areas and bedroom (mixed with cleaning product smell) Old bathroom (door wasn't closing, clogged faucet) -/+ breakfast was ok, diversed but quite industrial (jams, cakes, bread, ...)

We loved our stay here. The host was so welcoming and friendly and the hotel is full of traditional local character. Lovely spacious rooms for a family with a large balcony. Breakfast was fabulous.

A real gem in Skiathos old town. Fofi, the owner, was incredibly friendly and helpful, giving us great tips on navigating both the new and old port. The hotel itself is quaint and charming, with a cool, shady garden that makes for a welcoming entrance. We stayed in the top room, up a narrow spiral staircase (easy enough with hand luggage), and had our own private wrap-around balcony - a lovely surprise! The room was spotless and comfortable, honestly couldn’t fault it. We didn’t book breakfast, but what we saw looked delicious. The location struck the perfect balance: quiet and peaceful, yet just minutes from the lively street tavernas, the port, and the main shopping areas. We’d happily stay here again and recommend it without hesitation.

You need to book a stay at this hotel in your next trip to Skiathos! Our host Fifl was amazing, she upgraded our stay to the beautiful suite on top floor of the hotel with amazing huge balcony and views of the sea and town. She loaded our mini fridge with lots of different drinks 🍺. She really took care of us, felt very personable with us and gave great recommendations to people she knew in town. The included breakfast was also homemade and delicious 😋 our favorite stay of our Greece trip! We will definitely be back ❤️

Quaint, traditional Greek b&b with amazing view!

Great one night stay at Hotel Mato. Traditional old Greek house where the lady owner was so helpful and friendly. We had a room at the top of the house (up a spiral staircase) which had a spacious balcony with amazing views of the port. Lovely traditional Greek breakfast. The location is fantastic for Skiathos old town and the ferry port. Would recommend (as long as you like cats - she has tons them! )

The owner of this property is very sweet. We enjoyed our stay here because we aren’t too picky. However, you are greeted by around 8 cats that linger around property and the rooms itself are definitely not non-smoking. Very strong smoke smell, but that seems to be very common in Greece. EVERYONE SMOKES!! The location is great. Very close to town , port and all the nightlife. Parking is a beast. Took us 30 min to find a spot and then walked with all our luggage 15 minutes. But the rooms were clean and we were comfortable.

what an absolutely amazing place to stay the staff were so helpful they could not do enough for the room was beautiful and the best thing of all was the breakfast more than we could ever have needed and so lovely and well presented in addition to this if you’re a cat lover, this is the place for you so many cats outside and please donate to the cat sanctuary

Charming and welcoming in a great location

This is now our go-to place when we stay in Skiathos. Located in the Old Harbor area of the port, the hotel has a beautiful, old-style charm in its courtyard, lobby and dining/sitting room, and clean, fresh bedrooms and bathrooms, with charming modern furniture and fittings. Best of all, our wonderfully-kind hostess gave us a warm welcome and made us feel right at home. We just loved the entire stay... and next time we will plan on having breakfast there, because it looked divine, and we were very sorry we'd made other plans!

We had to cancel a week before going due to ferry cancellations bad weather and flight changes. We were unable to get a refund either thru expedia or the horel directly. This was very unfair. I have no review on the property since we were unable to go

Joli petit hôtel à l’ambiance de maison d’hôtes. Le personnel est accueillant et très sympathique, ce qui donne une atmosphère familiale très agréable. Nous avons séjourné dans un appartement situé dans l’annexe. Le logement était confortable et a conservé son charme d’origine, ce qui lui confère un certain cachet. Le petit déjeuner maison était très bien L’hôtel est idéalement situé dans la vieille ville de Skiathos. À noter que l’accès se fait uniquement à pied, ce qui est à prendre en compte si vous voyagez avec beaucoup de bagages.
