We had a great stay at Pension Buenpas. Centrally located, easy walking distance to everything San Sebastian has to offer. Room was good size, air-conditioning worked well and the private bathroom was clean and functional. Jon was very helpful on arrival, giving us some great tips for restaurants and bars. Lobby area had tea/coffee as well as small nibbles for guests to enjoy. Loved San Sebastian, would definitely return here to stay again.

Only positive things to say about this accommodation. Good communication prior to arrival re check-in; easy and efficient. Excellent location - right in the middle of San Sebastián, walking distance to everywhere and only 5 minutes from the main transport hub. Room was spacious, bed comfortable, shower hot. Also had a little refrigerator. Little extras to include a tourist map were very helpful.

Really lovely little place, room was perfect as a base to explore. Location is ideal, short pleasant walk to the promenade or old town. We didn’t see the owners but they made contact to let us know they were available if we needed anything. Will be recommending to anyone we know going to visit San Sebastián

We just left Buenpas and on the bus to Bilbao. The Pension is very clean, comfortable and well maintained and Jon ( the host) was extremely kind, friendly and helpful and always available if you have problems. The location is excellent for the old town, bus station etc. I am reliably told San Sebastian is one of the most expensive cities in Spain and Pension Buenpas is good value for money compared to other accommodation. You can't go wrong.

Clean, quiet and with a great location. Good coffee and a nice owner. Be aware that it is a pension and that you will be closer to other guests than in most hotels. (Not necessarily a disadvantage.) I would visit again, but then make sure to get a room with a window to the outer world (which I think it was only our triple room which did not have).

The hotel was very centrally located—everything within a 15 minute walk. The room was very clean and cleaned daily. The proprietor, Jon, and staff were very helpful and friendly; good communication and recommendations. As we were here during peak heat, it was very nice to have AC in the room after long, hot days out on the beach and for local pintxos crawls. Highly recommended!

Great stay in the city centre

Great stay in a nice and quiet area of the city only minutes away from the bustling town. The rooms are squeaky clean with all the amenties one needs. The host was also incredibly helpful by providing us with local tips - we tried some of the best places as a result and tried the local favourite pintxos.

Jon Buenpas is a wonderful host as the owner of the pension. He gave us local recommendations and allowed us to leave our luggage for the day after we checked out. Highly recommend this clean and wonderful property.

Really great stay at Buenpas. Jon was an excellent host, with great communication and helpful recommendations. Check in was a breeze and room was exactly as expected. Location was top notch - minutes from the beach and the old town. Should I ever return to San Sebastian, I hope to stay here again.
