As a frequent traveler, this may be the best hotel I have ever stayed at. The staff are phenomenal- they each greeted me by name and with a smile from day one. My room had a plumbing issue, but hotel management took care of it immediately and provided ample compensation for the inconvenience. The rooms are really nice, with full amenities provided. The location is the best for surfing as it is right in front of the break. The food at the restaurant was also excellent and I ate most of my meals there. I plan to stay again for my next trip. 10/10 would recommend.

Pros: -excellent and polite staff that made me feel at home -clean pool -fast check in -large, clean room in front of the pool -easy Airplay from MacBook to Sony tv -very delicious food at the restaurant -clean white towels -well manicured grounds -beachfront -lots of water provided daily - didn't have to ask for extra water -drinks in the fridge free - replenished daily Cons: -glass doors rattle when winds are strong -should have someone at the pool to stop outsiders from using the pool

This hotel is fantastic. Perfect spot for surfers and lookers alike. Great viewing spots from restaurant. Sit and relax with food or drink and the break is right in front of you. Breakfast all day so no need to rush. Quite a few great eateries close and best massage a few doors up in the bamboo hut. Surfboard hire available. Great pool. Beds are firm and comfortable. Can’t find any negatives about umadewi surf resort.

My wife and I spent three relaxing days at Umadewi Surf, the staff could not do enough for you. We firstly booked a garden view but upgraded to an ocean view on the second and third night. The upgrade went without any problems and they were very accommodating to our needs. The ocean view suite was very spacious and the bathroom was very modern.

Loved the spacious grounds and trees. Pool and area very nice BUT go to the pool before 8 and claim your chair umbrella otherwise U miss out until sunset! Breakfast choices all were awesome. Service was very good when not busy....be patient or come back if it's busy. Staff everywhere were pleasant and helpful.
