We stayed for one night at the lodge beside the golf course and had a pleasant experience. The staff were friendly on arrival, which made for a warm welcome. Dinner and breakfast were served in the golf club house — good, honest pub grub that hit the spot. Our room overlooked the grounds of the golf course. The bed was comfortable and the room well appointed, though it could benefit from a bit of modernisation. There’s also a lift to the first floor where the rooms are located, which was a helpful addition. Overall, a convenient and friendly stopover with a relaxed atmosphere.

Lovely location. Breakfast options are very good, evening meal and drinks prices are very good value. All staff very helpful and polite. Beds are comfy, great shower, our room even had a sofa, table and chairs which was handy. Great tea/coffee/fridge facilities. Amazing value for money, enjoyed our stay and would stay again.

Stopped for one night and arrived late, but reception was ready for us and even put us in a room close to reception so we didn’t have far to walk. Breakfast was lovely - we both had the full English and it was to a very high standard.

The lodge is in a nice area. The room is a tidy average room with no bar fridge. Largely they seem to cater for functions and conferences. The breakfast is good value. It is attached to a golf club. I messaged to try to book a golf tee time both via the booking agent VRBO and email direct to pro-shop. I got no response to either but on arrival they told me a time had been booked. Perhaps they assumed a golf booking would email me automatically but that didn’t appear to work for international visitors.

Well worth it

Warm welcome, very nice room and great price especially as it included breakfast, evening meal and breakfast were very good, and due to the great weather at the time, I was able to enjoy a few drinks on the terrace which overlooked the golf course and surrounding area.

A beautiful stay

We arrived at 4.30am after a flight. We had arranged a late book in. The night porter welcomed us and saw us to our room, he also arranged for a late check out to enable us to sleep. Breakfast was excellent, staff fabulous, beds comfortable, room spacious all in all a wonderful restorative stay.

Really nice hotel, sad that I have not stayed here before. We previously always stay on Epsom Downs but this will now be our first choice. Really lovely room and facilities, a few things could be updated like the size of the TV’s but it’s not major. The breakfasts included were excellent and the staff were really good and attentive to my family who came to join breakfast on three occasions. The only thing I would say to change is the horribly tacky blue neon lights at reception, it brings the quality level of the whole place down. This is a beautiful golf course and boutique hotel, not a poor quality London Night Club. We will definitely stay here again!

It was a lovely stay with stunning views from the club house. The breakfast was lovely and the room was very clean. My only complaint as someone whos very sensitive to dust is that some high dusting should be more regularly done. I highly recommend very comfortable

Excellent two night stay at The Lodge. Easy parking and check in. Lovely room and excellent service from all the staff we came into contact with. The food served was good but the menu could be improved. The 'extras', only available with a main just didn't seem to go.
