The location is convenient—right in downtown Baton Rouge—but everything else left much to be desired. There’s no hotel parking included, so you’re forced to either pay $20 for self-parking or $25 for valet. On top of that, they place a $20 hold on your card. No free breakfast either, which felt like another miss.
We stayed on a Saturday night, and it was ridiculously loud outside around midnight—cars revving, music blasting. Not ideal for families or anyone looking to get rest.
Our room was spacious, likely an ADA room, which worked fine for us as we were traveling with kids. It had two queen beds, each with only three pillows, which felt odd. Beds were clean and comfortable, and the bathroom was roomy and mostly clean. However, the bathtub had some grime, and the shower faucet was coming off. It made it impossible to enjoy a hot shower without the water suddenly turning scorching due to the loose handle.
On a positive note, the staff was friendly and helpful throughout our stay.
All in all, I wouldn’t stay here again. Next time I’m in Baton Rouge, I’ll book an Airbnb and skip the hassle.
