First of all, some of the hotel’s staff were very nice and helpful. The hotel entrance looks great and the hallways look decent. But the room has dirty floor and a stale smell. We had a room facing the street that was quite noisy. The hotel has a section of the street in its front for parking. But it can fill up quickly.

The property was in the medina. It was brightly painted and the man at reception was helpful. There were 3 beds of varying sizes in our room. It also had a huge balcony to enjoy the evening. The shower was remarkable. Internet worked well. We arrived early evening and left for dinner. It was the only time in our trip we felt unsafe. One man was harrassing us, thankfully locals intervened, allowing us to escape. The hotel was well lit. Breakfast had both omlets and gard boiled eggs, fresh OJ, tea and coffee, as well as pastries.

Over all. It's nice hotel. The location is good, very closed to CTM bus station and Local markets. Breakfast was good enough bread, pastry, olives, boiled egg, tea, coffee. However I saw left over breads were reused for another guests. I don't want to waste foods. But I didn't want to see that, unacceptable

The listed photos are lovely, but the hotel was under renovations when we arrived. It took us 2 days to realize that the renovations were happening and that the hotel was not just in disrepair. We experienced a language barrier which is to be expected when traveling internationally. The staff did not speak English but my husband speaks French so this is also something to keep in consideration. By the end of our trip we were able to forgive a majority of the issues we experienced. I am rating this hotel low because our first room was dirty, the AC did not work, and the only English TV station was all static. The second room was better but the TV did not work and the bathroom was not satisfactory. It is a wet room with a hose and a drain in the center. They have every opportunity to scrub and hose down the walls. I wound up cleaning the bathroom myself because even after we asked it to be cleaned the walls were still dirty. The bathroom drain would occasionally smell like sewage.

Maamoura was the perfect choice for lodging in Casablanca. They were super kind and let me drop my luggage some days before checking in so I could travel light to Fès and Rabat. The hotel is beautifully decorated, the staff is very kind and professional, the room was large and well kept. Everything was in perfect working condition and the breakfast is delicious and abundant. I felt safe in the neighborhood (on Sunday there were even children playing soccer on the street), there are plenty of food options within walking distance and the Casa Voyageurs and Casa Port stations are easy to reach by taxi. I will stay at Maamoura again on my next trip.
