We had a nice stay in a beautiful town of Bamberg. The hotel was centrally positioned to see this town and we would happily spent more time there.

Very good location. The price to the whole service and the environment is relatively reasonable. Breakfast is very good!

The staff were very friendly & helpful. The property was very quiet with a terrace perfect for a nightcap. Within walking distance of many cool sites & public transportation.

The room was on the smaller end but beds were comfy and clean. We didn't spend much time in the room as there is so much to do within walking distance so the size was exactly what we needed.

We booked our room late and Expedia allowed us to book a room that wasn’t available. The proprietor sent messages in a timely manner and met us at reception even though it was past check in time and made accommodations for us. Hotel was located close to bakeries, cafes, old town and shopping. Clean, plenty of towels and bedding. Would recommend and stay again.

Nice hotel!

This is a nice, clean hotel close to all the sights. I arrived when there was still someone at the desk. I didn't need to fill out a Covid card like the online check-in requested. It was the fastest check-in that I have ever had! Very nice receptionist, too. I didn't try the breakfast as it was going to cost way too much.

excellent except for the mattress protector!

The location, staff, service and cleanliness were excellent. However the beds were incredibly noisy every time you moved the culprit being the mattress protector. Being a woman of a certain age it was uncomfortably hot due to the plastic/rubber material.

Comfortable, spacious apartment

We (2 adults) stayed in an apartment style room for 5 nights. It had a kitchen and dining /sitting area and separate bedroom and bath. It also had a balcony. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. The kitchen was stocked with plates, cups, silverware and some cooking utensils. During the day there were a lot of neighborhood sounds but it was quiet in the evenings. The hotel was centrally located and within walking distance of many restaurants, shopping, train station and sites. There's also a taxi cab stand in front of the hotel. This is very convenient because getting an Uber was impossible in Bamberg - few drivers, lots of wait time and we never did connect with one. The staff were very polite and helpful. I definitely recommend getting an apartment at this hotel-it was a nice treat.

2/10 Poor

They lock the doors at 6pm. I could not get into the building and no one would answer the emergency phone. I could not get into my room and had to book another hotel. And they insisted I pay for the room, even though I could not use it

Okay hotel with truly awful policies

Check out at 10:30am with a firm no when requesting a later checkout is diabolical. No one needs hours and hours to clean the room after you leave. The proof is that other hotels handle it just fine. This place simply doesn’t care. And there’s no room service for stays less than three days… this hotel is nicely located and has comfy beds, but truly seems to hate its guests. And the bathroom design is awful. I’d pass on staying here again—they just don’t care if you have a nice stay or not, and they seem to aim for not.
