A lovely 3 room BB and a few minutes walk to the High Street. Friendly and welcoming hosts with a great breakfast. Room was comfortable and en-suite. On-site parking for just 2 cars, but street parking is available.

8/10 Very good

Was welcomed in by Nick, who was very polite. The room was fine and was a good place to rest for the night before exploring the New Forest the next day. The bed was comfy and the room stayed warm so slept well. Breakfast in the morning was lovely.

8/10 Very good

The host was very helpful and accommodating with our vegetarian and lactose free requests. The location of the place is brilliant, walking distance to the centre of town and of one of the New Forest walks. On the minus side, I must to mention that the description in the Hotels.com website is not correct, the bed was not a king size, but a normal double.

Great place to stay, close to town and parking which is a bonus. Our hosts were very helpful and we had a beautiful breakfast to top it off.

8/10 Very good

Was met by Nick the owner. At first a little unsure but he is actually a really friendly guy. Nothing is too much trouble for him. He does everything himself from meet and greet, breakfasts and room cleaning! Rooms are fine, take a back bedroom though as front overlooks the busy main road, can be noisy. Breakfast ok, you can opt for a larger breakfast if hungry. Pre order night before. Location great, near the town.

We had an excellent stay at Avalon House, Nick was welcoming and very helpful throughout the stay and the breakfast offered was of high quality with good choices. Our room was comfortable , well maintained and had all the basics we needed. The B&B is in a great location just on edge of the centre of Lyndhurst where there is an excleeent choice of pubs and restaurants, the Waterloo Arms being our particular fave. When we next come back to the new forest we will definitely stay at Avalon. Thank you Nick for an excellent stay!

Wonderful stay

The Avalon House is the quintessential British B&B. Judith and Nick were the perfect hosts. The village of Lyndhurst is lovely. The room was immaculate and the breakfast delicious. Wish we could have stayed longer to explore the New Forest.

One night stay in Lyndhurst

One night trip to Lyndhurst. Location was great, free parking either at the hotel or on street. Comfortable room, nice little touches such as fresh milk appreciated, as was allowing us to use the car park before check-in. Breakfast was fresh and excellent quality

Amazing stay, very friendly host and B&B was completely spotless, couldnt fault it at all. Cooked Breakfast was ordered the night before so was ready for the time you picked, but you weren't rushed a choice of cereals and juices on offer. Fabulous stay near to town and lovely room.

Peaceful, comfortable B&B

A beautiful house in a lovely location. My room was extremely comfortable, as was my bed. The bathroom was great, with a powerful shower. Breakfast was fantastic, and the owners waited for me when I arrived late from the ferry coming in to Portsmouth, which I hugely appreciated. A lovely, peaceful B&B.
