The room is very clean as well as the entire property that looks like to be renovated recently. The front desk lady that seems to be the owner is very friendly and helpful. The breakfast has a wide verity of food and drinks. A fresh Turkish coffee machine as well as American coffee for those who don’t appreciate the delicacy of Turkish coffee 😉

The location of My Kent Hotel is absolutely ideal — right in the heart of Kadıköy, surrounded by countless restaurants, cafés and shops. The M4 metro line, which goes directly to Sabiha Gökçen Airport, is also within walking distance, which makes the location extremely convenient. The hotel building is old and there is no elevator. We stayed on the 5th floor, so the stairs were certainly a challenge, but Ayşe Hanım was incredibly helpful and welcoming, which made the experience much easier. Our room was rather small, but the view was amazing. The seagulls were flying so close to our window that it felt like a little part of Istanbul was right there with us. The hotel was exceptionally clean — you could actually smell the freshness and cleanliness as soon as you entered. What I especially appreciated was the sense of taste in every little detail. You can feel that the people working there genuinely care about their hotel and their guests. The breakfast buffet was delicious and offered a wonderful variety: different kinds of cheese, sausa fresh pastries, fruits (even figs!), various types of tea and coffee, and even cocoa. Another charming detail was that guests were welcome to stay in the breakfast area in the evening, have some tea or coffee FOC, and simply watch the lively street life of Kadıköy. It created a very warm, relaxed and authentic atmosphere. Thanks to Ayse Hanim and the team at My Kent Hotel for the hospitality and care. We truly enjoyed our stay

Positive first: Greate location, surrounded by small restorations, 2 minutes walk from fish market, from metro station, from ferry, from 5th floor direct view on the Blue Mosque. If you have a camera with good zoom, you could make good pictures Negative: No elevator, so if you arre young no problem, but if you aged, might be difficult. The toilet sise a bit small, looks like in Paris. Since it surrounded by small resto, all cooking smells, fried oil is going to upper floors of hotels, during the night itdesapeared, but by the end of the day - you will feel it. Ac in the room 501 is 1m away from your head, so all cool flow is going directly on you head and neck. Maybe I was unlucky, but at 3:00 am municipality workers hammering something on that street, that it's busy during the day. The most annoying that staff ignored "do notdisturb" plaque, I take a water out of fridge(as cannot drink the cold one(, then also left my medication dissolving on the table. By return I realized, that my room was cleaned, my medication were thrown away and water is put back into fridge. So, I expect from "do not disturb" something else. But I guess it was a good intention. Overall I am satisfied and would recommend this hotel, with all consideration above. Last: it's very convenient to catch you flight from SAW, as direct metro line.

Hotel locates in a great place, the staff are courtesy, friendly and helpful. Especial Thanks I would like say to the hotel's owner! His hospitality is beyond all praises. Breakfast was nice balanced for starting the day with full of energy for Istanbul adventure. Great thanks for the room and the great view. Best choice for Asian side lodging

Our base for exploration, this hotel was amazing, from its incredibly helpful staff to its top notch continental breakfast, to the very comfortable suite and the call to prayer through the operable window. The bed was comfortable and the mini split heating/cooling worked great. The shower had hot water and didn’t run out. Basically, it was our refuge from the hustle and bustle of the neighborhood, which is wonderful (90% residents, 10% tourists). Definitely will stay again.

Family stay over in Istanbul.

Lively unit and more spacious that what I thought. In the middle of Kadikoy so you are within all the Hype and excitement. Being so close to the Hype, it does get noisy at night, but I managed to sleep without any problem. Very close (200m -300m) to ferry’s to go to Old Town and even day to Princess Island. Would definitely recommend.

The location was good :) The staff were pleasant and kind and hard working. however the hotel is nowhere near what a normal 3 star hotel is. Maybe 1.5? The furniture is old and falling apart, the little couches are stained and had cigarette burns all over. Windy stairs and no elevator. The two rooms we rented were very small. The bathrooms are airplane sized and had an odd bad odor emanating from them constantly, oh and I guess this is a smoking hotel ? To add to the bad odors and restless nights. I’m sorry to be so negative but I had no clue that’s the state of this hotel. The other reviewers seem to be sugar coating the truth. If it wasn’t for our heavy luggages we would’ve switched hotels but we were already tired so we stayed the two nights we paid for.

I can’t rave enough about this property. From the location to the food to the staff. Everything was amazing. Right center of everything thats happening its super convenient as a main starting point for travel. We got the slightly larger room and it was worth every penny. The breakfast was delicious, I ate it everyday. The staff is the best part. Every person was extremely attentive to our needs even the person cleaning the rooms. We had some surgery done and got sick during our stay so we spent a lot of time in the hotel. The staff was always there to help us when we needed. Im so thankful for them and I think this was the best stay I’ve had only for how great the staff is. I really recommend this hotel.

The location is excellent in the area of Istanbul we wanted to stay. All the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The breakfast was a buffet style, more than adequate and interesting. When the room we were offered seemed smaller than expected, we were offered a suite at no extra cost. People with mobility issues should be aware that, while the property has a lovely staircase, there is no lift and there are 5 floors. Don’t worry about your bags. Your arrival is detected remotely and there are many hands to get it to your room. This is a traditional property within a very lively and interesting part of town. We were not disturbed by noise, but I am not sure if there are rooms with views of the river.

Nice view and comfortable Hotel

I stayed at this hotel for two nights. It's located on the Asian side of Istanbul, about a 5 minute walk from the ferry terminal, and in a shopping district, so I didn't have any trouble finding food.The staff welcomed us with smiles. I guess I checked in early, and they let me choose a room with a nice view. There was free coffee, chai, and mineral water, so there was no need to buy drinks. I booked a room with a panoramic view, so it was the best room with a panoramic view of the sea and town. Unfortunately, the shower room was very small and it was difficult to sit on the toilet.By staying on the Asian side, I was able to take the public ferry across the Strait every day and was able to visit restaurants frequented by locals.
