Visiting Mt. Rushmore with no prior planning was challenging. Having never glamped, staying here was a delightful western experience. The staff was very helpful, the accommodations were exactly as described, the bed very comfortable. It was an enjoyable sleep. The dining was very affordable and quite delicious. Overall it was one of the highlights of our five day trip to the Black Hills and Badlands. Without doubt, we would stay at an Under Canvas facility again.

Positives: tents were cool (weather feature great!), beds comfy, lobby very nice, food def decent, staff responsive, smores a nice amenity, location to attractions good. Place needs a general overhaul. Road to enter is quite rough. Grounds are not well lit, paths to tents are very uneven. Wood burning stoves in tents are a great concept but are certainly not user friendly. Hard to start/maintain a fire, tent filled with smoke multiple times despite following instructions to a t and plenty of supplies offered. Honestly a bit disappointing; expected a bit more based on website depiction and cost.

The setting was beautiful, peaceful, and close to Mount Rushmore and other Black Hills attractions. We enjoyed the unique glamping experience, the comfortable bed, the camp atmosphere, and the friendly staff. The property was well maintained, and it was a fun way to experience nature while still having some of the comforts of home. When not recommend going in July the heat was unbearable. She pretty much had to stay away from the tent until after the sun went down and then it was pretty miserably hot at night.

From check in to check out, our stay was 5 stars. Curtis who welcomed us was very welcoming as were all staff. Our tent was clean, equipped with all we needed and had gorgeous views all around.
