Location was great - 15 mins walk into the old town (with some good places of interest en route) and for the evening - the area has many fabulous cafes and restaurants within 5 minutes walk. The whole hotel is really arty and chilled. Our room (102) was large and comfortable and the bathroom was amazing. There was a choice of local or western breakfast each morning with lots of PG tips!! Would definitely go back. We walked the whole of Ipoh twice over during our stay and agreed that our hotel was in the best location!

Good standard of hotel with breakfast included however although it is small and compact i would not call this a boutique. I had an issue on check in as the receptionist insisted on a cash payment for the new local tourist tax. As it wasnt a massive amount and I was tired i just paid it however on review it looks like expedia had collected this tax already. TBF apart from this, the staff were really friendly and helpful.

We were sent to have fantastic local food at local area, superb. Although the hotel is not surrounded by examples like itself- Bedrock is very comfortable. The staff couldn’t be more helpful. If I was to make one hint, to have more Western options at breakfast like fruit and yogurt. Debbie and Mr Lee were great hosts who will no doubt help in any way
