The place was announced as being a vineyard, but it was not. It is a guesthouse, situated in the middle of wine farms and fields of wine. Lovely!! The host was very friendly and helpfull, and you could buy local wine directly from him.
The rooms were nice and quite ok clean. But unfortunately the shared kitchen and lounge area could do with at bit of clean up. Same with the outside area which was in fact quite charming and vast, but again - a bit too messy.
The breakfast was ok but very simple for the price (Eur 8.50). There was no restaurant (as announced), but the host offered to make marocan dinner, which we did not take. Overall - It was not as expected - a bit "oversold", but still we had a nice 3 night stay. Saint Emilion is a very nice city - in spite of the touristic atsmosphere. Go there out of season.
