The welcome was very friendly and the room immaculate. We really enjoyed our stay at the Lao Plaza Hotel. It was a little walk to some of the attractions of Vientiane, but one could get tuk tuks if one wanted. Vientiane is a lovely city, relatively untouched by tourism. It has some gorgeous temples and the Patuxai Monument is impressive and well worth a visit. Would have loved more time to explore, but we only had a day.

Pleasant, honest staff (I left about US$50 in my pants and brought my clothes to the laundry - the $ was returned the next day with a smile). Had breakfast buffet every day while I was there dinner 2x and laundry = US$59, a bargain by any standard. The hotel is in a great part of town, close to the river and many shops and small, delicious restaurants, and local massage. Highly recommended.

I didn’t know how to make domestic phone calls in Laos. Mr. Bounmy was very helpful in calling for me and arranging taxi ride to the airport. The hotel is a very nice hotel, breakfast is well made and served, the gym, the pool and pool deck were beautifully done.

I couldn't fault the room, great aircon easy to adjust and control I instructed housekeeping exactly how i wanted the bed made they did it the same every day of my 14 day stay. Breakfast buffet exceptional. I stay in lots of hotels I salute Lao Plaza.
