We stayed here a few weeks ago. The location is perfect. It’s a quick walk to the beach, and there are shops and nice restaurants (we highly recommend Das Pizza) within walking distance as well (a little less than a mile probably). This place was a studio apartment that was basically a place to sleep and shower. There were no couch or chairs in the main living room. So if we wanted to sit and watch tv we had to lay in bed.
We did have a roach issue while we were there. We came across 3 or 4 in the first 2 days we were there. The property manager sent out an exterminator and scheduled us for a midstay room cleaning (which I guess isn’t a normal thing?). The exterminator came, but we had to ask again for the room cleaning. I’m not sure how an exterminator and a housekeeper go into a place and not clean up the dead cockroaches? Finally our room was cleaned a couple days later. The manager was accommodating and after talking with a rep from Orbitz she agreed to refund us for 1 of our 7 nights.
The reviews that say this place was fully stocked and you don’t need to bring a thing must have been pre-covid. The items in stock were very basic. 2 plates, 2 bowls, 1 glass, 1 coffee cup, 2 shower towels, 2 wash rugs, a hand towel , and 2 beach towels. There was no extra of anything. There were no condiments or spices or anything like that. So be prepared to buy everything if you grocery shop for the week.
