Great place to stay for a State Park adventure!

I wasn’t sure when I first saw it but the when I got in my room a closed the door it was very nice. It is right in the middle of two great places to eat and right next to the road going to the state park.

Starting with check-in- at 3pm- checkin time- we went into the office a man came out- said he could not check us in. He called someone else who was over at the adjoining cafe- who then eventually got there and checked us in. She was very nice and efficient. But had no king bed rooms left- which is what i had made reservations for. So, ok. The rooms are just that- a room- nothing special, few amenities, but relatively clean. Now about the adjacent cafe: the next morning, we were skeptical about this cafe. But! The service was great, the food was really good! We were pleasantly surprised. This hotel is worth the low price, I would stay again if necessary. The cafe is better and I would eat there again even if I wasn't staying at the hotel.

An okay stay in Lockhart.

Kind of a “get what you pay for” deal. The rooms was clean and someone came by to change the towels, etc. parking was a little tight so that might be considered for someone booking that wants to stay out late. Spots become limited. The website on Hotels.com mentioned free breakfast but this was never mentioned when we checked in. There is a restaurant that is a few steps away but I don’t believe it’s included or a voucher is given. Overall it was okay for the short duration we needed a room.

It was clean and the beds were very comfortable. We didn't have bath towels and my son went to get them. The lady at the desk claimed she saw the people put them in the room but we sure didn't have them. Other than that it was great.

The staff was very friendly. The advertisement for the property showed a much more attractive motel. The door wouldn't close unless you slammed it. The TV was not working for the first several hours. Parking lot was small and entry ways were so dipped that it damages the front bumper of our car.
