When we arrived at the hotel for our 1 night stay, we were informed that we had been upgraded to an apartment because there was an issue with some of the rooms due to a leaking roof. It was a bit disruptive, but the disruption was worth it because the apartment was great. The breakfast was good too.

It was advertised with a car park, however, they don’t have one, the room was in poor condition and on the final day there wasn’t and water, would not recommend this hotel, however, the only one plus was the staff they were very helpful and friendly.

Breakfast was good, room was tired but bedding was very clean. You have to request sea view rooms before checking in as we found out… even though we arrived a hour before the scheduled check in time all sea view rooms where already been allocated.

No room booked when we got there. No record of hotel. Com making a reservation. Very helpful staff found us a room and said they would sort the booking out. Hotel is a bit dated but clean. Our room was in a converted garage at the back of the hotel down the fire escape. Back of hotel a bit scruffy with uneven and rotten decking on the floor. The room Itself was clean and comfortable Excellent breakfast every morning. Very close to town centre and right on the seafront. Free parking on the seafront is now not free and is £5 for 4 hours. No return for 4 hours so not ideal. Overnight 8pm to 8 am was still free. Overall we were happy considering it was a bit cheaper than the nearby hotels.

The disgusting state of the bathroom overshadowed any plus points in this room. View would have been good if the windows weren’t filthy. Only positive was the lady overseeing breakfast, very friendly and helpful. Signage outside says there is a lift but this doesn’t work. Would not stay here again.

The proximity to the promenade and shops was perfect. Parking was excellent, we parked for free for nearly three days. It was enjoyable to sit on the verandah and watch the world go by. Reception staff and in the dining room were very polite and helpful. The dining room appeared to have been recently decorated and we both thoroughly enjoyed our breakfasts.
