Traditional Showa Era rooms with a mix of vintage and new amenaties. Good value for the location.

The stag were so welcoming in my arrival, remembering me from a few weeks ago when I stayed 2 nights. They had already organised a vegetarian Japanese breakfast for me.

Definitely a hotel from another era. Staying here was a fun experience. An easy walk into central Kochi. No laundry facilities but there is a laundromat just behind the hotel. In-room bathroom could do with better ventilation to stop the slightly damp feeling. Room was spacious.

6/10 Good

Noisy Japanese male groups didn't close the door and keep talking loud even in midnight. Closing doors without holding the handles was really loud and disturbing at 12am. I understand it was a nice time to hang out with friends but should shut the doors to let other customers rest properly. Do not choose the option with room chosen by the hotel.
