We enjoyed our stay at the Melrose. Excellent location in the 9 streets district. Very walkable. Staff were super helpful especially with the check in. We arrived at 9:30 in the morning during a one day transit strike. My spouse was not well when we arrived and the staff were so accommodating, as soon as the room was ready we were given access. Rooms are clean and comfortable. No breakfast available. However there are coffee shops and bakeries close by. Also a grocery store across the street that has lots of prepared food choices. There is a comfortable lounge and tables in the lobby to have your breakfast if you choose to. The location is great, close to the museum quarter if you are mobile, if not the tram is at the end of the street. Staff were super in arranging taxis for us. Lots of restaurants close by too! The only down side was our room keys seemed to only work once, then back to the desk to have them reset.

Fine stay, great location. The only issue is that we continually asked for our rooms not to be cleaned (requested this 3 different days to 3 different people who all said that wouldn’t be a problem) and they still went in to clean the room. That’s kind but we had valuables that were too large for the safe and we didn’t organize the room for a cleaning (kids toys and clothes were thrown about). Other than that, it was a pleasant stay.

The rmoos are clean and well thought out, they are not big rooms but the space is used well. Smaller room is a small price to pay to be right there on the Nine Streets and lots of shopping. Coffee Houses, shops, bakeries cheese stores, fashion and art. It's all right at your fingertips at this property. Front desk makes you feel like you're staying with friends.

Do not choose the room below the street level. Awful small rooms with literally no privacy if you are sharing the rooms. They also forget to clean rooms. Front desk staff is friendly and helpful. Hotel is very close to last stop for Bus 397 going from Airport to City.
