This was a last minute booking due to an imminent need to return to UK ( motorcycle trip ) and having done 400km with another 300 to do. Staff v friendly, this is a hotel which supports water sports groups ( mostly young kayakers ), but Dinant is a lovely location. The bar restaurant is another building the other side of the car park, which was open for drinks but kitchen was closed. However around the corner on the waterfront was a fabulous bar/ restaurant with loads of character. The hotel overall was what we wanted, a bed for the night. I was not put off by young people enjoying the water, it was nice to see.

We arrived on a Sunday evening and most shops had closed. The hotel is a bit out of town. The room was adequate, but the steps up to the mezzanine bedroom were very steep. The beds were comfortable. There were lots of mosquitos in the room, which we weren't prepared for. The breakfast was very nice and the staff were friendly.

Hotel is in the middle of a huge parkinglot and far away from town. The staff was slow and the rooms are located in a dark unfriendly hallway. Rooms are extremely old and there was a smell in the room, toilet and bathroom. Checking the beds learned us that they seemed to be uncomfortable. We decided to leave this very unpretty location and spend the might somewhere else. A waste of money !

Early Check-in Close and No Contact

Check-in closed at 9pm. We were planning to arrive after 9pm but there was no way to contact the hotel to let them know as their phone number leads to a dead line after you choose the English option. We arrived at the hotel and the front reception and door were closed. We spent the night in the car as we had no other option.

The people by the reception were friendly. The room had a nice balcony. But the beds are only 80 cm which is to small for adults, the light from the hall came under the door (which made an noice opening and closing) and lightened up de room. There was nothing to hang up your towels. We made the appointment that we would get help to carry our suitcases from the stairs as my husband is 86 and I don't have much strength. They would come 10.00 next morning. (You have to leave the room at 10.00. Usually 11.00) We had to put the keys in a box befor breakfast. When we went to the reception after breakfast the hotel was closed and when you try to phone them they said you have to book at the website.so we stood there in the rain. Our suitcases in the room, no key and nobody there. We went to the neighbour who sells tickets for the kano trips. She called them and there came 2 ladies who helped us.

Die Frau am Empfang wirklich sehr freundlich. Es gibt ausreichend Parkplätze am Haus. Das Zimmer war so sauber wie es sein soll. Das Bett war bequem. Das Bad sauber, die Toilette war separat. Wir hatten einen Balkon am Zimmer und konnten dort unseren Abend ausklingen lassen. Es ist auch möglich in einer der beiden Kneipen in direkter Nähe zu gehen, 2 Minuten zu Fuß. Das Frühstück gibt es im CoolCorner, dort kann man auch zu Abendessen. Das Frühstück war gut, es war Alles da. Nach Dinant sind wir mit dem Auto gefahren, ist leider nicht in unmittelbarer Nähe. Allerdings hat sich die 15-minütige Fahrt gelohnt. Eine Stadt mit vielen Sehenswürdigkeiten. Parken war auch dort kein Problem.

Bekvämt hotell för en övernattning. Finns det mesta som behövs. Relativt rent och snyggt. Lite knepigt att hitta hotellet då det är i samma byggnad som någon typ av uthyrning för kajaker osv.. Killen i receptionen var väldigt bra och mån om gästerna!

Hotel - op de bovenverdieping van iets anders - was niet makkelijk te vinden ter plaatse op een soort recreatieterrein Alleen een handgroot bordje verwees naar de hotelingang met een heel lastige trap naar de kamers. Ontbijt werd geserveerd in een ander belendend gebouw. Kamer niet groot en bed aan een kant klem tegen de muur. Al met al niet heel geweldig voor de prijs
