Hotel is beautiful - views across the vineyards from infinity pool are stunning. Rooms are very well appointed, great bathrooms and free minibar a nice touch. However - only negative point - the service was *excellent* by the staff - I cannot fault the effort by the people working there ... BUT - they felt understaffed across hotel. 1 poor guy/girl working pool service for 16-20 people on beds. 1-2 boys or girls on front desk with no porters to help luggage so they have to do that. At times they seemed over-run. Great shame because everything else was faultless - and the staff were great, they just had too much to cover

Sexy, Slightly out of Focus

The property is gorgeous: the vineyard, the pool and the interior common space design. The staff was perfectly nice but for example there was no one coming out to the parking lot to collect luggage as we arrived and left, they misplaced our car key briefly. The rooms seem to focus on design over function & practicality. The bedding was not as nice as other hotels at this price point. The breakfast was fabulous! Delicious, fresh and with excellent service. And the on demand in room popcorn was a nice fun touch. At a slightly lower price point it would have been perfect. At these prices it could have used a tiny bit more attention to detail.

There is so much to like about this property if you are young and into canned rap music! We for the three nights there and arrived Saturday mid afternoon. They had 3 Hens parties and the noise in the restaurant Rare Hare was intolerable! There was seating outside but not enough umbrellas and at 29 degrees just too hot. The bar which is lovely was also too noisy and again the canned rap music. We sat outside of there again no umbrellas with rap music blaring outside and we were the only ones there but they couldn’t turn it down. The good is absolutely delightful and could not fault this especially the breakfasts which are to die for ! We did the degustation menu on Sunday night (part of the Indulgence package) whilst the good was beautiful you either like them or not! This was served in Doot Doot Doot their signature restaurant. Doot Doot Doot is the only restaurant open on a Monday and only does deguststion so unless you want to pay the price or do the same dinner you have to go off site. They will make the booking and take you to/from the restaurant. Again the canned music which we asked to be turned down and then it was so appalling we had to ask them to change the music, WHY do restaurants/retreats think that everyone likes the music and likes it loud. They were a few oldies - 50 and over and I spoke to a couple who complained about the same thing.

Personally we thought the dining room was a bit severe and too regular in layout but we are being super critical. 一切都很满意！

入住JACKALOPE有种当农庄主的感觉，黄昏时分躺在温泉泳池中看着对面的葡萄园非常的解压！ 所有的沐浴用品都是我喜欢的杜松香调，晚上睡觉发现连枕头都用了杜松来熏香，整个酒店的硬件和房间细节都做的非常好 另外还尝试了酒店的晚餐和酒吧的鸡尾酒，都相当不错，有惊喜！

Amazing experience

Could not fault Jackalope, from the thoughtful extras to the striking architecture. Friendly, professional staff, gorgeous views, fabulous food. Magnificent swimming pool with spa (great massages) and bar areas. Painstaking attention to detail. Staying at Jackalope is an unforgettable experience!

Jackalope New Year 2018

Absolutely loved this place. Feels like another world. Every intricate detail taken care of and artistry at its best. Right down to the plates, cups and cutlery at Doot Doot Doot (in house dining) through to every detail taken care of in our rooms. Definitely go for the vineyard rooms rather than terrace if you get the chance the views are amazing. We also loved Rare Hare at the cellar door which was adjacent the car park entrance to Jackalope. Great wines and great casual setting overlooking the amazing vineyard views. Our only small criticism was dinner at Doot Doot Doot. It was good but didn't WOW us. Way too much effort on presentation and not enough focus on flavour and taste. Eg crispy skin duck needs to be crispy and most dishes lacked seasoning. And no I am not an overly critical eater or harsh critic. However based on the whole complex and expectations thats where they could have improved. Breakfast at Doot Doot Doot was fantastic. And YES would would rush back to Jackalope in a heartbeat.
