Great location for a stay in Tunis! A close 10-15 minute walk to old Medina. Gazzi was a fantastic staff member helping us to book transportation and day tours.

It is different and interesting, but the cleanliness has much to be desired, the area is dirty. However, the staff are excellent and super friendly.

Excellent location. Stunning historical building. Beautiful rooms. Quite rustic so dont expect five star furnishings. They offer sarongs instead of towels. The wifi is terrible but its worth it to say in such an amazingly building and stunning rooms. Staff are excellent. Use of small kitchen to make tea if you want it. Great location walking distance from medina sites.

Good Properties in Alleys

The staff are generally very nice especially the maid preparing breakfast to us, she is very attentive. The properties is inside an alleys, you may not able to park the car in the alleys, someone with very high skill in maneuvering car in alleys may find it ok. The wifi is not connected to our room, it serves in the common living room where you have breakfast. Also, you need to ring the bell of main door to gain entry, it is not common to other dwelling.

The sweetest personnel and a unique and interesting hotel. It’s not a social hotel, so if that’s your priority it is not the right one. If you love a unique stay, it’s recommended! Walking distance to the Medina and famous mosque, through interesting streets. I loved my room!

Khalil greeted me and helped so much during my stay! Khaled, the owner, helped find and call places. Really enjoyed the calm elegance and felt like being in a home. I’ll be back inshallah

Beautiful old house close to the medina

Dar Hayder is a stunning old house, decorated in traditional style, and we can’t recommend it highly enough. The room was spacious and charming, with hand painted tiles and walls and a marble sink in the bathroom. The bed was firm but large and comfortable and it was very quiet at night. The house is clearly old, so some of the features (such as the shower) are not in pristine condition, but for us that only added to the charm. Breakfast was generous and served in a particularly beautiful room from 8-10am. The owner was very welcoming and kindly agreed to serve us breakfast at 7:30am one morning as we had to leave at 8am for a day tour. We really enjoyed staying in this characterful old house and would recommend it to anyone visiting Tunis.

Worse Experience

The worse experience ever in my life . In this manipulative hotel .After they agree to change my date of booking when I reach Tunisia they told me they can't and then when I called and my Tunisian friend try to call they closed the phone on my face and their faces . Never come. Check google reviews. Learn how to be honest and how to deal with customers

Pärla i gamla stans (medinans) utkant
