Hotel is a typical Italian hotel. Room smallest I have ever stayed in but decent enough. Unable to use wardrobe as not enough space to open comfortably. Need smaller furniture, although in good condition. Balcony great to take in the last of days sun and look at views. Reception staff very helpful especially James he was above and beyond. We had a pleasant stay with incredibly helpful staff. There was a vintage charm to the place, with a lovely pool area. It was easy to either sunbathe or sit under the pine trees and there was a tranquility to the stay. If you didn’t have a access to transport the seafront was a reasonable walk away, so some planning has important.

The hotel is a diamond in the rough. Sicily is not geared for tourists but Hotel Conchiglia D'oro is fantastic. James, Rosy, Roberto, Stefania and Antonio could not have been more helpful and accommodating. It is an easy 15 minute walk to Mondello beach which is easily one of the best beaches in Europe. Our room with the balcony is lovely and a great bathroom / shower for Med Europe. Breakfast is solid too. Great place to stay near a great beach.

We had a lovely time at this hotel. The staff were really friendly and very helpful. The rooms that do not overlook the pool are modern and bright. Very clean. Great shower, comfy bed. Wifi a bit patchy. Breakfast and restaurant were fine. It is a good location for visiting Palermo on the bus. Great to have a pool, and also car parking.

The room need too be modernaste, it had a bad smell of mold and just old air. The breakfast was okay, nothing special. The atrium yard could have been so much cozier, now it was just a ball room with plastic chais and tables. Walking distance to Mondello beach and town.

Amazing staff! They did the stay worth it in this retro style hotel from the 70-80’s. Nice location, free parking, pool was great, balcony BIG, love that, but the hotel needs an upgrade. But if you don’t mind some scratches and good old days style of hotel you will be ok! Breakfast needs a lot of love to gain some attraction.
