The area in the back would have been very nice if you are traveling with a group/family. We didn't know about the use of canoes until to late in the day for us to enjoy. The room was clean but a little on the small side. I personally don't like the no staff check-ins where they send you a code and there is no one in the office. But, we did not have any issues while we were there.

Our stay at Placid Bay Hotel was absolutely amazing! The location is perfect and right on the lake. We stayed at the country comfort cottage and it was super spacious, clean and comfortable!
