No food options. The bed was very comfortable but there was no mattress cover, just a fitted sheet on top of the mattress. Not very hygienic. The bathroom needs an entire renovation. The room was not deep cleaned.

Our stay at Placid Bay Hotel was absolutely amazing! The location is perfect and right on the lake. We stayed at the country comfort cottage and it was super spacious, clean and comfortable! Service and communication was excellent. We can’t imagine staying anywhere else during a trip to lake placid. We will be back! Thank you!!:)

I recommend!

Very great stay. Access to the lake with available canoes for use. Great place to enjoy a book looking at the lake. I will come back and recommend the place. Greta weekend!

Weekend getaway

The hotel was centrally located and on the lake. We enjoyed the amenities - canoed in the afternoon and ended the nights by fire pit. The bed was comfortable and the blackout curtains was a plus! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Short but sweet stay

My family of 5 stayed in the country comfort cabin for 2 nights. We enjoyed the lake access and boats available to us. Easy to get into town, great location. Staff was just a text away.

It was a great spot , close to town. The rooms were comfortable and clean . The view of the lake at the back of the property was gorgeous. The initial code that was sent to me to get in the room did not work but I called and got assistance immediately and she stayed on the phone with us until we got in the room . The only negative comment I have is the limited parking spots . It snowed while we were there and it made the limited space even more challenging.

I loved this hotel last year and booked again for the same work event. This year however, the shower nob was broken when we first got there, so we couldn’t shower for the first night. And the heat/air con wasn’t responding to the thermostat, so it was either off and freezing, or reading 80 degrees.

This is an old motel with a fresh coat of paint. Nothing amazing but comfortable enough for a night or two. Light sleepers beware. The walls are THIN. You can clearly hear a conversation or the tv in the next room over.
