I felt safe as a solo female traveler in 18C. The street is quite dark so be mindful after dark if that worries you. Sintra is a sleepy town after the tourists leave. The apartment was very clean and accurate to the listing. There was mold in the bathroom but this was mentioned in the reviews prior to booking and it did not bother me much for two days. It is a basement apartment but there is a lovely view from the living area. Check in was smooth and the communication was perfect. Also the location was incredible. Just a minute walk to the restaurants and 5-10 minutes to the castle trails and entrances.

We had a few questions and requests during our stay and the owners/hosts were super responsive! I especially loved the private outdoor courtyard associated with the property! We spent an entire afternoon there lounging, reading and recovering from our trip to the Moorish castle. We even drifted off for a catnap! Lovely!

Good size apartment ideal for a couple. Stairs to bedroom and toilet were somewhat different and not easy to anyone with mobility issues though ok for myself. Very clean with all necessary commodities/utensils. Will book again when in area.

Not great communications about location, etc. Seem to forget that jet lagged people might not have much battery left either in the phone or the brain after an overseas flight making it stressful to connect when the location given isn't the actual location of the room.itherwuse really great.

The house is nice and the price for the 2 bedroom was reasonable. The view was nice on a hill. Wifi was good. Amenities were fine with stove, refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker and more. The house was clean. The only issue we saw was that one of the walk in closets had mold on the walls so we could not use it. Also hot (or even warm) water was not available all the time. I think the boiler was too small for the number of people they had in the house. Communication was good and check in was seamless. Overall good experience and I would stay there again.

The property is amazing. A little oasis just off the street from the busy streets of Sintra. Booked a down stairs apartment that opens up to the beautiful gardens. So unexpected in such a busy location. Being able to walk through the streets to the cafes, restaurants, shops and tourist attractions was a highlight. Reading through the reviews I noted that some people commented about how difficult it was to find the property and our taxi driver got lost but he was able to call the property managers and we were able to locate. Communication with the property managers regarding check in was easy. Would love to visit again one day!!!
