great hotel we had a bungalow very quiet out the way but free tuk uk on hand to drop you at Beach which is 5 mins by tuk set in a forest garden with fish ponds many coconut and tropical trees 🌴 the staff can't do enough for you and with only 3 bungalows and 4/5 bedrooms not over crowded at all deffo come back here plus monkeys and peacocks and a river flowing past swimming pool see a 2metre long river monitor lizard fantastic

Hôtel reculé dans un décor naturel très sympathique, le personnel a été attentionné dès notre arrivée et ce, jusqu'à notre départ. La qualité des logements et les services à disposition en font un hôtel à ne pas louper, pour un tarif somme toute convenable vis-à-vis d'autres établissements de la région.

Tout était parfait à D Canal House. Le lieu est magnifique, le personnel aux petits soins. Les chambres et espaces communs sont décorés avec goût et la piscine est incroyable, sur la jungle engoronnante. Nous retournerons avec plaisir dans cet hôtel.

This was HEAVEN on earth made even better by the fantastically attentive and helpful staff. We stayed at D Canal House for 3 nights in one of the bungalows and can easily say they were the nicest 3 nights of our trip around Sri Lanka. Slightly away from the hustle and bustle of Mirissa main road, D Canal House epitomises tranquility. As you enter the gates you are greeted by a perfectly maintained garden (beautifully lit up at night) leading you past the amazingly presented bungalows towards the main house and the lovely outdoor pool. The staff were brilliantly helpful in organising daily tuktuk’s for us into town, day trip to Galle and offering wider recommendations of restaurants and activities around the area. The breakfast is amazing with tea’s, coffees and water offered throughout the day. The property cleanliness stood out with our room cleaned daily, the garden maintained and the pool area flawlessly kept. We cannot thank the staff at D Canal House more and would recommend this place to anyone thinking of coming to Mirissa for either a short or long stay. Thank you.

This property is a bit tucked away and not the easiest to access, but once you arrive, it’s well worth the journey. The staff are exceptionally helpful and friendly, and the complimentary tuk-tuk shuttle service to and from the main road is a thoughtful touch that makes getting around much easier. Breakfast is simple but satisfying, providing a good start to the day.

The property was gorgeous and tucked away in a quiet area away from the Main Street yet still conveniently located. The staff were very kind and helpful. The breakfast was fantastic. We were sad to leave this place and would come back in a heartbeat.

Fantastic stay! The staff were incredibly helpful and welcoming. The breakfast was excellent, and my room was already cool and comfortable when I arrived. Even though I arrived later than expected, it was no problem at all, the team was very accommodating and kind. I had a wonderful experience and would definitely stay here again!

Our 7 days at DCanal were lovely, it’s very peaceful, tucked away in the back streets. The free tuk tuk service to the town was very helpful. The pool, the staff, and the beaches nearby were a wonderful place to unplug.

Beautiful property, very well decorated and surrounded by nature. It is a little far from main road in Mirissa but honestly that was a plus, they offer a free tuk tuk to/from main road and I much prefer the quietness and secluded area where the DCanal is located. Very good breakfast, super friendly staff and a very authentic experience. Loved everything about it!

Great place

The staff is Super nice, very helpful and quick to respond (usually could contact them over WhatsApp and got answers within minutes). The tuktuk service to the main road is a very nice thing to have, tho' we usually walked, wich wasn't that bad either. The rooms were big and nice, the pool area was also very nice. Would stay again if I were in Mirissa.

First of all a huge thank you to the team; Milan, Dinudu and Pryinka for making our stay amazing. This is by far the best hotel in Mirissa and you receive a five star service. He accommodation is super clean and the rooms are well equipped, spacious and beautifully decorated. The grounds of the hotel are beautiful and the pool area so tranquil. I would highly recommend.
