This hotel most likely started as a magnificent home at the turn of the century. It has been preserved and modernized with wonderful and whimsical features. The rooms are named after the owners family giving you a feeling of being home after a long day of sightseeing. The staff is warm and inviting. If you want to have a conversation or privacy you decide and they are incredible. We opted for the breakfast which was perfect to start each day. There is a living room lounge area for each floor and 2 great terraces to access.

The hotel is centrally located close to restaurants and shopping. We asked for late check out, it was declined even though the rooms were empty afterwards. The ac wasn’t working and the hot water ran out after a couple of minutes.

Nice staff. The building is a little worn down. Water sometimes doesn't work at night. But the space is historic and charming.

Many many great shops all around walking distance, Beautiful City ! Very nice Hosts. I will stay there again for sure. Ask for more coffee for your machine in the room when you check in. All good. Breezy terrace on roof. Staff very kind and helpful. Head uphill to Plaza Mayor for excellent shopping.

The location is great, just 2blocks to the Zocalo or Mercado’s. The hotel is clean, staff was friendly and the breakfast was good. On the down side, the halls were noisy and the beds were very hard. However, the shower was hot and the price is right.

Excellent hotel, beautiful and clean rooms, located in the center of the city everything is walkable. The only downside is that there is no parking at the hotel if you rent a car, you have to find third party parking (there are a couple near the hotel)

Highly recommended hotel in Oaxaca City.

The location was especially good: 2 markets Within one block and the zocalo was 2 blocks away. There was also a rooftop terrace great for a glass of wine while watching the sunset. One night there were fireworks. In the hotel restaurant the meals were excellent and inexpensive.

They had an amazing roof top terrace with a great nighttime city view and we were the only ones up there. Great place to have some Mezcal and relax. This location was great for an urban stay in the city with easy access to anything you could possibly want or need. Check in desk reception was very friendly and accommodating.
Just a small area of the dual level terrace on the roof. Nice breeze on a hot night.

Rooms were clean and quiet but the common spaces were limited and not that nice. The library was closed for renovations while we were there.

Service was fine. About half of per personnel spoke English. Rooms / facilities were below expectations. The room (we got) have a mechanic noice (probably from outdoor AC) every 10-15 seconds which seemed very disturbing at the beginning. Breakfast was included, but only the cheapest item on the menu. We could live with this, but seems a bit cheap. Recommendation is to eat out anyway, if possible.
