Our back room was clean & simple. The resort overall was exactly what we were looking for and then some. The breakfast buffet was very good and the restaraunt was excellent, both food, service and view/ambience. The beach area was great and we found the resort to be a nice location - a touch further from the louder parts of the island but generally an easy walk to it. And we used the massage services daily because of what a wonderfully good deal it was relative to the US!

I spent a wonderful 9 nights at Samed Villa Resort. The resort is right on a beautiful beach with beach loungers and beach towels provided. The staff are super friendly, respectful and professional. My room was very suitable for one person and was serviced daily. The provided breakfast had a lot of choices and was served with views of the gardenand beach. Totally love this place!

This was our second stay and we will come back again. A cosy and family friendly resort right on the beach. All you can wish for. Good food at the restaurant and no need to go anywhere else. Also the overall service level was high especially at the restaurant. The only small issue we had during our stay was the smelly drains in our bathroom due to defect water lock in the drains. They tried to fix the problem but with no success. We then covered the drains with plastic bags which did the trick.

Location: 20 odd minutes walk to the town centre but song thaews are easily accessible. Room: Good size for a family of 4 but the bathroom needs some touch ups. The safety box in our room was broken too. Cleanliness: The room was clean, however the reception area smells unpleasant. Breakfast: Basic - not much varieties. Staff: Some are reasonably friendly but some are not. This resort offers all the basics for a reasonably okay stay but nothing is above average. The best feature of this resort is the direct access to the beach and small snorkelling areas. It is surrounded by restaurants and bars. The fire show is also not too far away.

We were two girl besties who spent 8 night here and we couldn't have chosen a better place to stay at. The location is perfect. Close to other beaches, course to many different restaurant options, close to clubs for those nights we wanted that. We wanted a hotel were you step out into a garden from your room. This was exactly that. Cute hotel houses in a garden maze. Absolutely lovely! The restaurant part is really nice too with different levels/terraces that created a lovely ambiance. The food and drinks were very tasty! The staff is super friendly and helpful. We made it easy for us and used their taxi/speedboat service to get to and from the island and I would very much recommend this to anyone who just want to get here hassle free. It's worth every little baht! The rooms are used but very fresh and clean. We loved our room! ❤️ Yes, the club at the hotel next door is loud and you can hear that a bit, but it didnt bother us at all. The club closes around midnight either way so its not like it goes on late into the night. During the days you can choose sunbeds on the beach, or the ones on the terrace by the cliffs. The latter became our favorite. Its was calm and nice. I only have nice things to say about Samed Villa and I would 100% stay here again if I ever got the chance. It's a true gem on the oh so beautiful Koh Samet.

Loud music from neighbouring resort

If you are a light sleeper and would like to go to bed before midnight I would not recommend this place. We stayed for a week and every single night there was loud music from the neighbouring hotel, White Sand. On the other hand they stop playing at exactly midnight so you know at what exact time you can go to bed. Apparently that's just the way it is and the owners of Samed cannot do anything about it. Sometimes there was even music in the early morning from Samed Villa itself. Not very loud but again, if you're a light sleeper you might want to reconsider staying here. Had I known about the noise I would not have booked. Other than that everything was fine, friendly staff etc.
