Previously, I have stayed at Horitzo and has been excellent but some the reception staff have been replaced with some that are a bit blunt and need to learn how to smile. The rooms are generally clean but my request for room I usually get could not be accommodatied by reception staff.

The hotel did an excellent breakfast and is in a great location. The staff were good particularly the hard workers taking care of the busy breakfast bar. However the hotel rooms and hallways were tired and in need of care and the beds were hard.

The hotel is beachfront which is great. Simply cross the street and jump in the ocean! The breakfast buffet is the best I have ever seen at a hotel and actually approaches cruise ship level bases on variety and quality. Don't miss out. Walk left toward the marina for vendors and street food or right if you are looking for other bar/restaurant options. Enclosed garage car parking is available a few short blocks away for an extra fee if you need it. Great place...stay here if you get the chance, and visit the nearby Cuba Cafe for an authentic experience!!

Excellent location on the sea front at Blanes. Lovely hotel, we had a twin bedded sea view with balcony. the room was very clean and the housekeeping were very accommodating. This is our first time since the hotel has been taken over. It was still an excellent breakfast with plenty of choice, thought some of the restaurant staff in the morning could be a bit more helpful ! did not use the onsite indoor pool on this occassion. The wifi was good.

The location is perfect. The hotel is directly across from a long beach with a beautiful view, so you just step outside and you're on the sand. The town of Blanes was our favorite of all the little towns nearby: quiet, clean, spacious, and with everything you need. The highlight, along with the location, was the huge breakfast buffet. There were salads, eggs cooked several ways, cheeses, olives, cured meats, potatoes, eggplant, pastries, fruit, several yogurts, and cereal. There was even sparkling wine and a coffee machine for lattes, espressos and cappuccinos. You can eat on the patio right by the beach, which makes it a wonderful way to start the day. The best hotel breakfast ever! We didn’t try it, but we heard that the buffet dinner for 23 euros was also very good. The staff were pleasant and friendly everywhere we went. One tip: we booked a balcony room facing the beach based on the website photos. On the fifth floor, the balcony railing is solid cement, while the other floors have steel bars. With the cement wall we couldn't sit and enjoy the view, only stand next to it. If the view from your balcony matters, ask for a lower floor with the steel railing before you book. Also, parking is on the streets. During off-season, parking is free everywhere. We parked at a public lot two blocks from the hotel.

Excellent location within walking distance to not only the beach, but also restaurants, shopping, and activities.

6/10 Good

Although the property says parking is available, it’s only general public street parking. You have to circle many times to find a spot. There is no specific parking for hote guests. Also, the pool is not open to children, and this is not mentioned on the website. The rooms were bare and super basic, and much closer to 3 stars than 4. Had I known these things, I would have booked elsewhere. The staff was very kind and the restaurant location (facing the beach) were great.
