The staff was so kind and flexible in letting us drop off our luggage in the morning when our train arrived, providing local recommendations and how to navigate public transport to the Vatican and troubleshooting when I couldn’t work the AC. People mentioned a musty odor from the bathroom, which we noticed, but we just shut the bathroom door and ran the fan. We had a balcony overlooking the park which was lovely. The suites aren’t close to the major sites, which we knew going in, so you’ll need to account for increased travel time but there are a lot of really good places to eat in this area. Just be aware of your surroundings as night falls.

It’s just a bit basic. Theres nowhere to hang your clothes or even a drawer. The tea/coffee facilities consisted of three sachets of Nescafé. There was no shower gel. There was also just the one key which was an issue. The balcony looked into a yard at the back filled with people’s washing rather than looking at the park opposite. The rooms were never made up in all the time were there. Property was a bit run down and tired. The hot water took 5 minutes to come through. On a positive note, it’s cheap, close to the station and clean.
