The Avon Motel is a value considering their prices. It is clean and the basic amenities are jn working order. The owners are friendly and accommodating. The beach is close but for an elderly person hard to get on and off due to the large dune. There are some really good restaurants in the Avon-Buxton area. I have gone there for many years but will need to find a motel with more amenities and easier beach access.

We were very happy with our one night stay at the Avon Motel. We really appreciated the care taken to insure the unit was immaculately clean. The beds were comfortable, and we had the advantage of a mini-fridge, coffeemaker, and microwave. Chairs were provided to sit outside under the roof overhang. We could walk to the beach in less than 10 minutes, and afterwards there was an outside shower and hose to rinse off the sand. Staff members were extremely friendly. Overall this was a nice experience. Great location!

The room was clean… Very small and we had the unit right next to the busy road. Two small bedrooms are very hot because there’s only one air-conditioning unit in the small family room. Was not a kitchen just a small corner with a small refrigerator in microwave. It was very noisy because of all the traffic being right next to the road they were flies and spiders in the room because there’s no screen door and you can see the outside from the door.
