Magnificent building - in need of TLC. Staff helpful but not enough available. Room was lovley and clean but very disappointed with the breakfast - lack of choice and no fresh fruit or option for hot chocolate instead of tea or coffee.

Lovely looking building and good parking outside. The owner was really friendly and helpful and made sure I had everything needed for my stay, even walking me around the building so I knew where everything was. Breakfast was a nice spread and fresh which was good. My stay was only 1 night but would return again.

A recently redecorated bedroom, clean and basic, great value for a one night stay with a lovely breakfast and staff were very helpful with details about where I was going and what to look out for. Most helpful.

A lovely old building, full of character, nooks and crannies. It is a bit tired, but is being updated by the owners as money will allow. It is friendly and welcoming, and I just love the old world ambience. And it is half the price of the local Premier Inn. Parking onsite is included and there is a nice breakfast in the wonderful Library room. There is also an indoor swimming pool which I have used. All in all it is quirky and charming and very good value.

We stayed for work for 1 night. Although we had a breakfast included there was only toasts, fruits and cereals. On positive note it is very quirky place. Our room was newly renovated and clean. Beautiful surroundings and quietness. Room was very cheap so we were very happy. ☺️

Det var fri och gott om parkering. Sängen var helt okej. Rum nr 5 hade dålig täckning på wifi, dålig mottagning på tv, toastol som inte spolade när den skulle. Frukosten var medioker. Stället ligger 1.8 km från centrum. Osäker på om jag kan rekomendera detta ställe.

No kitchen area, so no evening meals at all. Breakfast consisted of toast and cereal only. 2 people complaining on arrival, asking for their money back. Sadly, I won't be going back, never again !

The hotel is very tired, but the owners are trying to tidy it up and decorate. The facilities in the bedroom were poor, nowhere to hang clothes, curtains don't close tv didn't work. Having said that, it is only rated a 2 star and I will certainly stay again both for the quirkiness and the lovely staff.

Easy 30 minute walk to the train station. Lovely old building with comfortable rooms. The reception isnt manned until the evenings, we needed to drop our bags early and the breakfast chef was so helpful

When we got to the hotel we were told that our booking had been cancelled, a member of the hotel family had cancelled it. My husband asked to use the toilet, when he came out he said that the toilet hadn’t been flushed, no toilet paper and it was disgusting. The receptionist Richard looked like he hadn’t had a wash himself in a month and his clothes looked about the same, they were filthy. We later found out that the hotel was full of illegal immigrants. This hotel should not be on hotels.com It was fortunate that we were able to get a room at the Travel lodge

After booking in we were told that, 1. breakfast was not cooked, I'm sure the pictures showed that, 2. the resturant wasn't open in the evenings, 3. the pool was closed. Had I known this before checking in I would have changed the booking but it was too late be that time!

This hotel makes Faulty Towers look professional! Reception does not open until 4pm and then closes once all of the guests are booked in (he was not very friendly and couldn't leave the building quick enough), no staff are then seen until 8am the next day when a basic continental breakfast is put on and then he disappears again so you're left to your own devices, luckily we were the first ones down for breakfast so we had some choice but a party of cyclists were in the hotel and the first ones down had some breakfast but the later ones had nothing left to eat and there was no staff on site to replenish the milk etc. My advice, pay a bit more, it would be worth it!

They have tried to improve the room, new carpet and painting but one of the 2 windows had no curtains. The bathroom was dirty, the toilet roll holder had come off the wall and just put on top of the bin and tape put over the holes. The mirror was just propped up against the wall. There was no lamp shades on 3 of the lights. There’s hooks in the walls but nothing hanging on them. There was nowhere to hang your clothes. There’s side door that you use to enter the building is up some stone steps which are not light at night.

Filthy room, no curtains on one window, exposed wiring on walls and dangerous plug socket with big hole in it, I opened a cupboard drawer and found 2 wall lights, obviously for the exposed wires. No soap/shower gel, paint all flaking off the walls in the toilet, general grime.! have seen better looking beds at a council rubbish dump. No food available. The only good thing was the view, if you didn’t look in the car park. I have taken so many photos of as you wouldn’t believe me otherwise, possibly the worst hotel I have stayed in. I stay in a lot of hotels.

Had a lovely overnight stay ,the staff were very friendly and very helpful, i have found a hidden gem perfect to visit my family and will return. My room was perfect ,had a great breakfast before leaving
