The property is very nice and in a good location. Definitely feels like a mountain retreat in most aspects. Great views of the Three Sisters from the pool deck. Enjoyed our suite on the top floor which had vaulted ceiling, king bed and spacious living and bathroom areas.
The staff at the check-in counter were very friendly and as helpful as they could be.
The restaurant was nice with pleasant views and the food was decent, but the same level of dining could be enjoyed at the Keg for half the price…or less. Yes, we ordered a bottle of wine that cost $135 which you can buy in a liquor store for $60, but at north of $400 for two of us, it didn’t feel like the value was there.
The disappointment really, was in the way the hotel handled a problem with my gift cards for the property. I had 2 x $250 that were purchased in October 2024 and we were trying to use on the Easter long weekend 2025. They didn’t work when I tried to activate them. Called the hotel and they informed me that they had changed their system since my purchase and we should have been sent a new link for the cards. Well, we weren’t. No problem, just send the cards you have to us in an email and we’ll get back to you. Sure thing. Did that. No response.
Ah well, I figured I could just take care of it at the hotel.
The young lady working the counter at the hotel was lovely, understanding, but unable to help me as this was above her pay grade. No sweat. I get it. I’m here for a few nights, we’ll get it sorted.
