An okay cheap place to stay. Not easy found on Google Maps and quite a way off main roads, so not ideal for stopovers. My kettle still has vinegary fluid in it which immediately curldled the milk when I made tea. No aircon and one fan that has seen better days. Well equipped kitchenette. Comfortable bed. Balcony nice. River below not the most beautiful. Secure parking was good. Lot of insects in bathroom. No elevator which is not great if you have a lot of luggage to take up. Overall, okay for one night - just!

We stayed for 3 nights as part of our Normandy trip this April. This hotel is a great base for exploring the region if you are travelling by a car. We ventured out to all the local gems including Honfleur, Étretat, Deauville - all within 1.5 hour drive. The city of Rouen is 30-40 minutes away. The hotel offers a great value for money for a travelling family. It is great for families with kids, has an indoor and outdoor play area and a small indoor swimming pool (0.75m deep), there’s an outdoor swimming pool as well but it wasn’t operational during our stay in April. The apartments are either 1 bedroom or 2 bedroom, both options come with a separate living room that has a double-sized sofa bed. The kitchen is well equipped, with all the necessities you may need for your stay (including a washing machine!). The fridge in our apartment wasn’t working too well, so we had to improvise by freezing water in bottles and placing those at the bottom of the fridge to keep fresh goods at an acceptable temperature. The apartment equipment and facilities are a little dated and could do with a little more care, I.e. laminate flooring has come apart in places, the bedding / towels were stained, the window blinds haven’t been washed for a while, the apartment has a distinct smell (like a retirement home?) which some may find uncomfortable. The staff are all super friendly and welcoming, the surrounding area is beautiful and peaceful. A good all rounder for a family trip.

Lovely room, very comfy bed, loved the balcony overlooking the bridge and the river. We had the breakfast which was good value - nice it was served on a tray, we could take to our room or we decided to have it outside. We'd have liked some seats here and there in the island to sit by the river.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here, the setting was wonderful and tranquil, the short riverside walk opposite, gorgeous. The staff were super friendly, our apartment clean and comfy, although I think the deluxe description was perhaps a little exaggerated, with the hand held shower head in the bath, rather than a walk in shower. I’d definitely return, the countryside is delightful around Connelles too.

It is important to ask to avoid ground-floor rooms. The room had no window, lacked airflow and ventilation, and—most notably—the bathroom had neither a bathtub nor a window. Poor moisture drainage and a strong smell of mold and sewer gas ruined our stay. Furthermore, we did not have a view of the water, which the photos suggest is available with the balconies.

The location is a bit secluded and everything is a bit far to get to without a car. The Seine River is right there and the grounds are lovely. Our apartment was really spacious for a family of 5. Internet access was a bit spotty.
