The views made it better
We enjoyed the lovely ocean views, a clean and inviting pool, and beautiful gardens. However, our apartment fell short of our expectations. The unit we were allocated was not depicted in any of the photos, the furniture was worn and disappointingly different.
To make matters worse, there was a terrible smell emanating from the drains in the shower and kitchen. The kitchen itself was unclean, with utensils still covered in old food and no toaster or working salt mill. The linen and towels were aged, and the mattress protector kept unhooking during the night.
We booked for an 8-night stay and were served the same “rationed for 3” breakfast every morning. It would have been appreciated if they could have offered some variety, especially considering the length of our stay.
The staff overall was friendly, and the cleaning lady was willing to assist with some ironing, which we much appreciated.
