An old-world type of accommodation in every way. The decor is vintage in a homey way -- no overdone antique frills. The Lodge was originally a private home, and bedrooms while small, do have private bathrooms. The hostess was extremely friendly and chatty, and joined guests at breakfast time in the living room, where lodgers shared experiences over coffee and freshly baked muffins. While out of the mainstream touristy area of the town, it is only by a short walk to excellent restaurants, boat tours, lakeside strolls, and shops. A truly unique find!

We have a lovely stay in in Waterton. What a beautiful location. The fresh muffins for breakfast were a treat! Our flight into Calgary got delayed so that we would be arriving after check in hours. The host was more than willing to leave our room key where we could access it upon arrival. The location was easily walkable to town as well as to the Bertha Lake trailhead. We would not hesitate to stay here again.

Room very clean and very quiet. Might be hot in summer. Shower stall small, sink in bedroom not bathroom. Bring coffee maker as not one in room nor kettle or coffee/tea mugs. Great to have microwave and fridge. Very rustic, wonderful wrap around veranda on upper floor and wonderful muffins for breakfast. Host very helpful.
