The room was dirty, and there was a cockroach in my bed when I arrived. The hostel is not social at all and feels more like an old building than a hostel. The location is good, but the staff were not helpful or welcoming. Overall, a terrible experience.

I recently stayed at a hostel in Malta with a great bar upstairs and I couldn't have been happier with my experience. The hostel itself was clean, comfortable, and had a fun and lively atmosphere. The staff were friendly and welcoming, always willing to help with any questions or recommendations. The highlight of my stay was definitely the bar upstairs. It had a fantastic selection of drinks, and a great social vibe. Overall, I highly recommend this hostel to anyone looking for a fun and affordable place to stay in Malta. We booked a private room that came with our own bathroom (with shower and toilet) and our own air conditioning unit. A cleaning crew cleaned our room every day, so it was very clean. The rooftop bar was very enjoyable and had a good vibe.

The location and the Hostel itself are great but especially the really friendly staff and the rooftop bar with the amazing bartenders makes it worth staying there. Through the many events happening at the bar you get to know a lot of people and can connect around the world with attending the english Cafe malta.

The key system and the showers reflect the hostel was designed by someone who travelled a lot. You have your own key opening the hostel, the room and your own locker. Amazing. In the shower you have a specific curtain to protect your things. Very good idea. Hostel is a bit old in furniture but definitely good choice.

Not the cleanest hostel out there but its good enough. This is mainly because its a party hostel. The staff are very hardworking as I regularly see them maintaining the rooms and toilets. In terms of location, this is probably the best hostel in Malta. The standout feature of this hostel are the daily free tours. Also, if you want to be by yourself or are with family, this is not the hostel you are looking for.

Great hostel in the heart of St. Julian's. I thoroughly enjoyed the free daily tours organised by the hostel and the rooftop bar in the evening. It was very easy to meet people here - I would stay again on a return trip to Malta

My heart sank when i seen the outside street of the hostel and all drainage water constantly running down the street….we had what was listed as a deluxe room! Stained throw, unmatched bedding….the balcony was very narrow looking out to a mess….the windows next to the balcony were opened…with folks boxer shorts drying at it ….we could see right in the dormitory so we quickly went back into the room…bed was really uncomfortable also pillows…strong unending stench of dampness and bad drainage smell…the roof terrace is ok in 2 parts….great over crowded building views,but i wanted to wash all the stained cushion covers and seating fabric covers! Manager offered my husband a drink which was a lovely touch….he declined,fridge in kitchen was rammed with everyone’s food so glad we only had milk in it ….i could have cried as it was our first visit to Malta so the hostel had a negative impact on me sadly….as did the constant overcrowded buses….but we are heading back to Malta real soon so this visits accomodations will be much better….i can see how folks on a tight budget or not wanting to pay a lot would use it….the laminated flooring is all wore away with the constant chemicals on it i suppose….we went on the top terrace the 2nd day to sit in the sun which was lovely…we had that to ourselves…but beware there is constant loud building works all over and workers staring over! At night on the terrace below the roof covers get concertinered in and the glow in the dark art comes to life!

Stayed 3 days and loved it. Everyone was so welcoming. Rooftop has amazing views and bar staff was incredible! Beds are comfy, lots of privacy and you don’t need a padlock as lockers can be open with the key that is used to open the door to your dorms. One thing, climbing up to the top bunk can be a mission. Also luggage storage - wish it wasn’t in the corridor where the lifts are as anyone can take it. I will definitely come back again!
