Easiest check-in and check-out experiences ever! There were four of us traveling together and we appreciated the spaciousness of the suite. If you are looking to catch a sea plane to Isle Royale National Park I highly recommend staying a D's Base Camp the night before.

There were many spiders and cob websites everywhere. The stove did not bake well and the rubber seal inside was dangling. Making a pizza that wasn't even baking, made the smoke detector go off. The pizza oven did not work. It was a convenient place for the area we had to be. Staff was super friendly.

Last minute reservation so a much larger “room” than expected. Three beds/two bath apartment. Perfect for a large family or a group of friends. Bring food! Some good restaurants around but a ways away. Very reasonably priced, very clean where it mattered. The unit we selected happened to be above a garage which we didn’t mind but the stairway smelled a tiny bit of normal garage smells. Inside we didn’t notice at all.

We really enjoyed D'Bar! Perfect place to sprawl out and relax. We really enjoyed our stay. Especially nice that they had a full kitchen and dining area where we could cook our own meals. Close to Houghton and only an hour from Copper Harbor. Loved it all.

Our family stayed here during MTU move in weekend. It was nice to be able to cook our own meals and avoid the very busy downtown area while still being a short drive to campus. This was a much better deal than any of the hotels. It has a rustic feel and is nothing fancy, but it met our needs for the weekend and my kids enjoyed having their own rooms. We will likely stay again when we come to visit.

Absolutely loved the suite! It was very clean and came with anything you could think of for a long stay trip. We had only stayed for one night, but it was an amazing night! The owner Donna was extremely friendly and helpful, the suite was very clean, and any information you might need you can find inside. I would recommend this place 100 times over if you're looking for a cozy place to set up base for a long trip. We'll definitely be back again if we're in the area!

Very comfortable and generally clean. Enjoyed having a full apartment with seating area and kitchen. Beds were comfortable. Not as clean as the hotels we had stayed in during our trip as some furniture had significant stains on them which made me not want to use it. Kitchen pans could use replacing. It would have been helpful to have a guide on how to use the two remotes: finally figured them out after some frustration.

The amount of space and places to sleep were great with the kids along. The outside light was burnt out so it was pitch dark when we arrived. The one bedroom also had a light bulb out and didn’t work. There was one window air conditioner and it was in a bedroom so the door had to stay open to cool the main area. Parking was great as we could park next to our room. When looking to make sure we had everything while looking under beds the floor was not clean. The batteries in the tv remote were dead and so we used the box itself attached to the tv which was very annoying. All in all it was ok but not great.

We were stuck behind an accident on our way to Base Camp, and I was able to text the property to let them know we wouldn't be arriving until after 10 pm. The suite was just as pictured on the website, and we had everything we needed to cook breakfast in the mornings before heading our for the day. It was just what we needed.

If you're looking for a fancy place, this isn't it. This place is clean and comfortable. This is exactly what we were looking for. This would be an incredible spot to host a group side-by-side or snowmobile ride. Hopefully we'll get back up in this area and we'll be staying there again.
