This place is out in the boondocks. If you are looking for a place that is away from it all. This is it. They showed us where to find the local hot springs. We ate in their restaurant and were pleased with both dinner and breakfast. The rooms were small, but neat and well cared for. The staff was fun and helpful. If you enjoy hiking and exploring along a beautiful river. This will suit you well. Or if you just need a place for the night on your passage through the area.

At the Sourdough Lodge, built in log cabin style, you have the basics done well. In some sense, we felt like we were “glamping” (glamorous camping). The rates are reasonable. The menu and service at the Sourdough Restaurant is excellent. The staff is friendly. The air is fresher and the nights cooler in the summer than in Boise. Nice relief from life in the city!

We stayed at one of the three individual cabins that had a queen bed, a bunk bed and a couch bed. Had wine on our front porch that faced another cabin. Quiet area. The sourdough inn breakfast was amazing. Huge servings. And their cinnamon roll is to die for and feeds 2 people easily. Staff were great and welcoming. Be sure to hit the local hot springs as they are amazing as well. Will be staying here again on our next trip through the area.

It was just ok. No coffee in the room. When I asked, was told we should gave been told that when we checked in and that there was a keurig coffee maker in a room 2 doors down. It was apparently a storage room. Beds were comfy. No door security - just a turn knob. Would not stay again. security
