If you've got an inconvenient appointment at the RBWH as I did then there's nowhere more convenient than Annexe Appartments. Very clean and very comfortable, and I was surprised by both free wifi and some Foxtel! If you're in town for the Ekka then get in quick and book for next year as this place is in prime position.

Great location, good spacious modern rooms, great price. A very minor (bourgeois) suggestion—— remove the ageing carpet (which only covers part of the apartment) and replace with inexpensive imitation wood floor covering or alternative inexpensive flooring.

One of us had to attend the nearby hospital for treatment over several days. Annex is a 5 minute walk. The staff were understanding, positive, generous and extremely helpful. There will be more requirements for future treatments and we will not only access Annex again and every time, but thoroughly recommend it to all who ask us!

The hotel itself was alright, I did see a few bugs and the floor lobby did always have a weird smell. However, the apartments themselves were clean and very convenient with the washer and dryer. People were not joking about the location being a bit away off from the train and there isn't much to do outside of going to the hospital or taking a bus to hopefully reach where you need to quickly. Outside of that, it was a pleasant stay.
