Lovely and stylish hostel

Lovely hostel that has only been running for a couple of months. Everyone from the staff was super sweet, welcoming and very helpful (even helped us booking a very cheap nightbus to Tokyo online). The female dorm os very cosy and the beds are sooo comfortable. The whole hostel is very stylish and the design makes you feel like home. Even though it seems to be a bit far from the main city district, it is easy to catch a bus to the city. You can also enjoy a very nice walk along the creek to the Path of Philosophy. The change to the touristy area was very nice. Good ramen places and lively bakeries are also to be found in the neighbourhood.

Très bon accueil, personnel souriant agréable et serviable. Le seul point négatif au début que l'on peut trouver est sa localisation. Mais au final avec un pass bus pour la journée cela s'arrange. Centre commercial/Supermarché à 10 min à pied (pour des promos avantageuses la venue du repas du soir) et autres magasins intéressants. Le restaurant est à tester autant de fois à souhait, ainsi que son petit déjeuner peu coûteux et très bon. Très bon séjour à Kyoto et ils en sont pour quelque chose.

A super nice hostel

We stayed for 2 days and were very happy. The hostel owner is very kind and friendly. The hostel is very nice and has places to eat, combinis and supermarkets in near vicinity. The only thing which isn't perfect is the location. It's a bit far from most of the sightseeing spots but the host did a very good job with super detailed information on how to use the transport to get from the hostel to diverse spots. All in all we were very satisfied with our stay.

温かい宿でした。

少し遅れてチェックインしたのですが、とても丁寧に対応していただきました。笑顔が素敵なオーナーさんが印象的でした。タオルを用意していただけたのがとてもありがたかったです。周りにラーメン屋さんがたくさんあるほか、コンビニも近くて便利です。下の階がオーナーさんの経営する飲食店だったのでほんの少し音が聞こえることもありましたが、実家の二階で子どもだけが先に寝て、大人だけが起きているような、懐かしい感じがしました。

The Lund House - A Simply Perfect Hostle.

The Lund House is a small simplistic hostel in a nice and quiet part of town. It is still easily accessible, however, with the closest bus being line 17 or 206 (Summer 2018). The Lund House is very small and compact, but as long as you have pleasant roommates the place feels like a wonderful home. I would gladly stay here again. And at their listed price you can't beat it!

Cozy staff

Incredibly friendly staff and service as soon as I walked through the door. Beds were cozy with outlets, a shelf, and curtains. Small kitchen facilities but gets the job done. Even some free whiskey and soft drinks! Ramen shop downstairs is absolutely delicious. Train station near by. Bike rental was reasonable and the bath was heaven. I especially loved the helpful binders full of information about the attractions in Kyoto and bus system.

Complètement déçu

Il n’était pas indiqué que nous allions dormir dans un dortoir de 8 personnes sur des lits superposés. De plus, pas d’accueil à 15 heures, contrairement à ce qui était indiqué. J’ai été tellement déçu que j’ai immédiatement recherché un autre hôtel, tout en sachant que je ne serai pas du tout remboursé.

こじんまりしてるけど、設備が整った清潔な宿

水回りも綺麗ですし、寝室も綺麗に掃除されていました。台所も料理できるほどの道具が揃っています。スタッフの方々もとても親切でした。また利用させていただきたいです。ありがとうございました。

외풍대비만 잘한다면 가격대비 최고!

현관문오픈되어있어 겨울이라 외풍심해 1층 침대는 방에 히터가 빵빵해도 한기가 돌아 2층서 동생과같이 잠. 히터땜에 건조하니까 마스크와 안대필수! 늦은 체크인인데도 친철하게맞아줌. 건물 1층은 두 라면집모두맛집! 야식가능. 주변 거리도 예쁘고 서점도 있고 주변 맛집 많고 바로 앞 편의점도 있고 근처 큰 마트도 있고 역이랑도 가깝고 근처 우체국통도 있고 짱짱!! 근데.. 외풍이 진짜 심해서 씻으러갈때 정말 힘들었어요ㅜㅠ

コスパ、雰囲気、様々な方との会話、スタッフの親切さ、セキュリティーVery Good！

ビジネスホテルが全くなく、出張先に徒歩圏内のルンドハウスを初めて利用しました。唯一、主要道路からの看板が大きければ良かった以外は大変満足しています。看板は今後改善されるそうです。スタッフは大変親切で、また利用したくなりました。宿泊客の外国の方との日本語と英語が混じった楽しい会話や日本の方との様々な分野の会話は、シングルで泊まって一人で過ごすことよりも10倍楽しかったです。同じ経営者のレストランのシェフとの会話はとても楽しく、店の森のような雰囲気や朝食の内容も良く、今度は夜もそこで食べようかなと思っています。比叡山方面の鴨川上流の高野川が近く、川沿いを歩く歩道が整備され、大変気持ち良い散策ができます。大変すばらしい府立植物園にも近いです。シェフは、もとサーファーで、海外をバックパッカーされた経験がふんだんに活かされ、仕事で大変重要なノートパソコンやデータもしっかりと守られ、かつWifiもあって便利。コストパフォーマンス、セキュリティー、スタッフ、日本と外国の方との会話等大変すぐれ大満足でした。でも、こんな事を書いてお客さんが増えて自分が泊まれなくなると本当に困るのですが、、、

修学院離宮に近い宿

今回はなぜか宿のスタッフ、同宿者との接触がほとんどなくちょっと寂しい滞在でした！部屋の掃除などは十分にされており快適だったと思います。 2階での朝ごはんも美味しくいただきました。

Refreshing Stay

Lund House staff was hospitable and welcoming. We lived our stay here. It was clean and comfortable and we enjoyed talking with the other guests. Tons of great food and ramen shops in the area. It was great to get out of central kyoto and enjoy the mountains close by.

很舒服的床，但若要入住女生宿舍的話最好選別間旅館。

可上鎖的個人櫃子放的下後背包，床很舒服，廚房很小，浴室比很多旅館還大（有淋浴和浴缸可泡澡，泡澡需另外付費）。要去女生宿舍需先通過男女混合宿舍（中間沒的門是不可以關的），所以要入住女生宿舍的話最好選別間旅館。入住前要看一下備註：旅客於 23:00 前可能會受到二樓餐廳/酒吧的噪音影響。如需查詢詳情，請與飯店聯絡，聯絡資料請參閱訂房確認。此飯店的女生宿舍與男女混合宿舍是以木頭柵欄和窗簾分隔。如需查詢詳情，請與飯店聯絡，聯絡資料請參閱訂房確認。

교토 게스트하우스중에 최고인듯! 우선 교토역에서 버스타고 40분정도 되는곳에 위치하고있습니다. 은각사와 가깝지는않지만 비슷한곳에 위치하고있습니다. 게스트하우스앞은 관광객은 거의없고 현지일본인들뿐입니다. 또한 맛있는 가게들이 많고요! 가장좋은것은 길건너편에 세븐일레븐도잇습니다! 좋은인연많이 만들어가요. 또 오고싶습니다.

二段ベッドに慣れていなくて頭を何度もぶつけてしまいましたが、それで他の人の睡眠を妨げたのではないかと心配になったこと以外には、特に気になる点はありませんでした。スタッフの人は親切でしたし、メールや説明書も丁寧で、気配りが行き届いていました。

映画を撮りたいようなゲストハウス

一周年ということでとても綺麗です。早く伺ったのですが、お掃除が済んでいたので部屋に入れていただきましたました。スタッフの方が便器を抱えるように掃除をしていたのが印象的でした。新しいだけでなく、手入れとセンスが素晴らしい。併設の稲穂食堂で食事もできます。夜のエスニックも、朝の和食500円もお値打です。

Close to mass transit

I found this hotel just a few weeks before my trip. It's super affordable and more than worth the money I paid. You can get to know other travelers in the morning and at night after you have gone to do some sightseeing and compare notes with others. The staff are very helpful in getting you where you want! Perfect place and the breakfast was outstanding! You won't regret it! There are plenty of good cheap places to eat as well! Enjoy Kyoto!

굉장히 좋았어요. 일단 여기 스탭분들이 너-무 좋아요. 되게 밝은 상냥한 여자분이 계시는데 처음부터 끝까지 그 분때문에 기분이 너무 좋았어요. 그리고 숙소는 역시 계단이 있어서 조금 불편하실 수 도 있는데 저는 전혀 괜찮았어요. 아 그리고 침대에 다 커텐이 있어서 좋네요! 방이 특히나 햇빛이 정말 잘 들어서 잠도 잘 잤어요. 위치는 이치죠지라고 교토안에서도 라면 골목으로 유명한 지역 이거든요. 숙소 주변에 먹을때가 정말 많아서 놀다 들어와 저녘 먹으며 술 한잔 하기도 나쁘지 않아요. 저는 여동생이랑 가서 자전거 빌려서 다녔답니다. 지역 자체가 자전거 타면 교토 시내인 시조,기온,산조 까지 30분 정도 걸리구요~ 은각사,철학의길,난젠지,헤이안진궁,까지도 별로 안 걸려요. 교토 자체가 길이 참 예뻐서 자전거 타시며 산책하기에 기분도 좋답니다. 아침에 자전거 타며 카모가와를 달렸는데 그때의 반짝이는 햇빛과 따스함이 가득한 행복이 잊혀지지가 않네요. 고민하시고 계시면 그냥 머무세요- 오히려 시내의 캡슐 호텔들 보다 교토를 만족하실 수 있으실거에요. 너무 좋은 기억을 안고 돌아갔어요.^^
