The guy at the front desk was awesome. The breakfast was worth the price of the room alone so it’s like going out for a nice meal and getting a free room for the night. If I’m ever in this area again I know where I’ll be staying. It’s also in such a convenient location that you can walk to most of the places around and Mt Rushmore is literally about a 3 min drive away

We found this place quite good for our needs. It was a decent budget hotel with the added benefit of a basic breakfast available, which is rare these days in budget accommodation. The staff were very helpful, and the location is just within walking distance of town, though better off driving. We would be happy to stay here again.

We only had breakfast the one morning, the section wasn’t the best. If you’re not expecting fancy, it’s a good place to stay. There is no pool as advertised though.

The carpet needs to be cleaned or replaced it had a large spot that was sticky. Air conditioner was mediocre. Tv was streaming service and needed me to set up account for free tv app, was not given Roku PIN at check in, internet quit working around midnight. Breakfast was good. Staff were sweet. The decking needs work, nails sticking up, need chairs outside rooms.

Upon arrival we found the room clean but very outdated. The shower curtain should be replaced as it was brown at the bottom and it hangs into the small shower. The floors in the room were two different colors of wood flooring. The furniture was old. The bed was comfortable with clean sheets and blanket, but the pillows were flat. No cable tv and the tv only received 5 or 6 channels and half of them were fuzzy. The breakfast was ok. There were 3 different cereals, bread for toasting, small muffins, yogurt, scrambled eggs, sausage gravy and link sausages. Orange and apple juice and coffee. Right outside of our room was a trash can that was overflowing and I don’t think it was emptied the couple of days we were there. We did have a small dog with us and there was an empty grass lot (I think it was over flow parking for one of the bigger hotels) right next door so I could take my pup for a walk. They charge $20/night extra for a pet fee. WiFi was available. For the price and location, within minutes of Mt. Rushmore, it worked.
