Ocean was visable but the rice fields were much more interesting, the bats at night and swiftlets in the day were lovely to watch. The staff were amazing, and the food even better. The property could do with a bit of a refresh in a few places, but we're in a tropical climate so kind of understandable. This is a nice small quiet resort, the location is odd and the enterance is very easy to miss. it is set back far enough from the main road, so they rooms are very quite and secluded. The staff are all extremley helpful. Rooms are well kept and very clean. Signiture SPa treatment was fairly good.

Samata is tucked away down a quiet Jalan with an immediate outlook over tranquil rice fields to the ocean beyond. All the staff were exceptional with their service and genuine kindness. From the moment we arrived at the hotel, it has been luxurious treatment. I've been notified before our arrival of the arrangement and despite booking it wrong on the website to have 2 single beds instead of a king bed, they managed to accommodate it to our preferences last minute. The whole staff has been so friendly and very attentive to our needs throughout the trip, from messaging us the night prior to get our breakfast order to noticing our discomfort following a rough trip to Nusa Penida, they've even went above and beyond into providing us teas to calm our nerves which weren't on the menu or expected. All in all, I would definitely recommend staying at the Samata, it made our Bali stay unforgettable.

We had a great experience at The Samata, from the moment we checked in until we checked out. Communication was clear and the staff accommodated our schedules. We had tours every day so they had our breakfast (included with our package) packed and ready to go prior to us leaving for the day. The rooms were clean, although there were occasional small bugs/lizards. Didn’t really bother us though. Our private 2br villa was spacious and we appreciated the privacy. Location wise, it was about 30-40 mins away from the airport. A little farther to Ubud, so it depends what your itinerary is. Overall, a pleasant stay and I would definitely recommend. Thank you The Samata for making our first time in Bali a great experience!

I stood here for one night and absolutely loved it. The staff were so friendly and polite, and helped me carry my bags upstairs. They also asked me the night before what I would like for breakfast, and if I wanted it taken up to my room, as well as what time. (And the breakfast was delicious). The bathroom amenities were a nice touch, as I got an all natural bar of soup which smelled wonderful, as well as herbs for a bath soak, and other things available upon request (comb, toothbrush..etc). The room was very beautiful and clean, with great air conditioning. The only negatives are that the location is off of a main busy highway street (can’t grab a cab easily) and although I had a good nights rest, the bed is a little hard for my liking. Other than these things, my stay was amazing.
