Best lodging on the west side of Glacier National!

Amazing atmosphere, comfortable and clean. Rustic, historic building, lovely balcony with fabulous views. Awesome restaurant on property.

Great hospitality and unique rooms!

Excellent service

Excellent service from the front desk attendent. Loved the personal note with candies laying on my bed when we checked into the room. Loved the old atmospere and history of the chalet. Would definitly stay here again.
Tricia, 1-night trip

8/10 Very good

Really nice hotel, but I think I was expecting it to be a lot nicer from the photos and such a high review. Something to be known to others, is that the train comes past nearly every hour which is right out the front.
Marcus, 3-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

Fantastic, authentic, pristinely preserved old hotel. It’s like stepping back in time, but tastefully redesigned with all the necessary modern amenities. Except don’t look for a television, but there is no time for television with all there is to do in the park.
Wesley, 2-night trip

Historic charm

The Belton Chalet is clean and charming with a lively history. The staff was friendly and responsive. We stayed a week in early May and the weather varied, but mostly cool. The rooms are small, but functional and a bit of a challenge for a longer stay - more suited for a long weekend. We have lovely memories of the place and exploring the area!
Deborah, 6-night trip

8/10 Very good

We were just glad to find a room.

It was a very small room. No AC or TV. Was very clean. Bed was comfortable. Not so quiet, floors creaked loudly. Our room was next to the outdoor steps. People walking up and down until 11pm or so. I would stay here again though.
Deborah, 1-night trip

8/10 Very good

Charming historic chalet built in the early 1900’s. Very comfortable and I rested well. Be aware though that there is no a/c. We were comfortable with the windows open and the ceiling fan on. If the temperature were higher we might not have been. It is in a very convenient location.
Ruth M, 4-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

Exceptional except for: 1. No elevators and lots and lots of stairs in this old charming place. Keep your heavy bags elsewhere. 2. Their restaurant: Belton Restaurant, which have not yet reviewed. 5 star reputation, substandard service, small portions, 3 star cuisine with a limited menu. Very disappointing. I wish I had taken a pic to share of the miniture chicken dinner with the frozen diced vegetables (carrots, peas, etc) as a side that cost me $30.
Joanne, 1-night trip

6/10 Good

Great location. Very old hotel with creaky wood floors. We were on the bottom floor and it sounded like people were moving furniture in the room above us. Also tons of trains passing very close by. This was the first time a hotel has ever provided earplugs in a welcome package. Women at the front desk were unable to explain why my bill was higher that what I agreed to. I asked each day about the charges and they passed the buck. Never got an explanation, even during check out. I've booked with Hotels.com for years and this is the first time I have been overcharged by the hotel. They didn't honor the hotels.com contract.
