We had a very nice stay at Casual Del Teatro Madrid. The staff were polite, friendly, and always helpful, which made us feel welcome from the start. Our room had a large balcony with a great view, and it was a real highlight of the stay — perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring the city. The hotel is well located and comfortable, and overall it was a great experience. We would happily stay here again.

Unfortunately, I would not recommend staying there, at least not during summertime. We stayed in the room with the balcony (that is faced towards the sunlight most of the day) and the air conditioner was not working properly, which caused us trouble sleeping at night because of the intense heat. I talked to the staff twice about it and absolutely nothing was done. They gave me a ventilator and that was it, they never gave us any response and didn’t even offer to change rooms, even though they knew we had our 4-year-old son with us. Also, cleaning is far from being ok. It had tons of dust under the bed and the bed tables. I had to grab something on the floor under the bed and was negatively impressed. Pretty sure no one bothered to clean in a long time. Location is very convenient and the girls who serve breakfast are great, super helpful and kind. Except from that, it is a no.

Great location. However, the building and room is quite tired and in need of repair and maintenance. For example the curtails were falling down and difficult to open due to the fact several curtail runners were missing. Also the hairdresser only worked intermittently and was reported a couple of times. The air conditioning needs maintenance. Plus Netflix access would go a miss.
