Good stay

Great little hotel in a really nice location. Stayed for one night as we were just passing through, but the room was large and comfortable, staff were great and food was excellent. We were on a fully loaded up motorbike so the big cobbles in the car park raised the pulse slightly, but thankfully it was dry. There is a bit of noise from the road outside, though I didn't particularly notice it during the night even though I'm a fairly light sleeper. A "sleep kit" is supplied just in case (eye mask and ear plugs). Overall, enjoyable stay and would recommend it.

First and foremost is cleanliness, and Brødremenighedens Hotel did not disappoint. I found the entire hotel to be spotless and the same for my room. Yes, the bathroom is not new but it is well maintained, everything works and again it was clean. All in all pretty good for a building built around the time of the American Revolution. This hotel and the town of Christiansfeld is well worth a visit and the hotel location could not be better, there is even free parking right next to the entrance, perfect. The breakfast provided from 7:00 to 10:00 AM in the basement restaurant is very good offering both hot and cold items. There is only one thing I missed and that was a decent chair to sit in. There were two chairs in the room that fit the decor very well, but they were not very comfortable so to me, replacing them would be a real benefit.

This was one of the worst hotel stays I have ever experienced. The sound insulation is practically nonexistent. Every time a car passes by outside, the entire room shakes and vibrates as if the traffic were running through the room itself. Getting proper rest here is nearly impossible. The bed was even worse. What was presented as a large bed was actually just two extremely soft single mattresses pushed together. To “solve” the gap in the middle, they placed a wooden board between them — an unbelievably poor and uncomfortable setup. If you sleep on one side, your body sinks deeply into the soft mattress, while the hard wooden board in the center digs painfully into you and leaves you stuck in an awkward position. It is not just uncomfortable — it is completely unacceptable for any hotel claiming to offer basic comfort. The entire sleeping experience was an absolute nightmare. I would never stay here again and would strongly advise others to avoid this place.

Alt var bare fantastisk. Hvis jeg skal komme med et råd kunne det være Det eneste der kunne være om vedligeholdelse af de gamle vinduer der godt kunne bruge en pensel med maling. Ellers var alt bare skønt. Og maden i Kongens kælder er en fantastisk kulinarisk oplevelse, serveret af et professionelt personale.

Rigtigt hyggeligt hotel. Lyst, pænt og rent værelse. Personalet var meget imødekommende og servicemindede. Vi spiste i restauranten om aftenen. Maden var rigtig god og det var et stemningsfuldt lokale. Morgenmaden var også fin, eneste minus var brødet som var tungt og tørt. Men et skønt ophold og vi kommer gerne tilbage.
