Lovely hotel and close to the centre of Brugge .Staff were all very friendly.Restaurant was excellent and my brother and I had a wonderful meal. The only criticism we had was the paper cups instead of china cups for tea or coffee in the bedrooms which were too hot to hold when a hot drink was in them .would have. Preferred china mugs.

This hotel is minimally staffed. If you want to drop your bags prior to check in you need to arrange ahead- we didn’t and were stuck carrying bags for a few hours. Good location, a few cafes just outside the hotel and very close to main shopping streets, not too far from train station. The hotel itself has a cafe but it was closed the day we arrived but if open would be convenient. We did not add breakfast to our stay. Room was small but enough for a short stay and good value for the cost. Because it is an older building retrofit to a hotel the back wall had a shower in the corner (separated from bed by a curtain), a vanity and a water closet. Everything was functional but just a little bit of an odd set up.

Had a great experience here. The staff were very accommodating and friendly. Like a lot of hotels in Old Europe the rooms were a little quirky and there was no elevator. No big deal for us, though we had a room on the 4th floor, but be aware the stairs could be a challenge for some. The price and location more than made up for it. And the meal we had at the on site restaurant was one of the best we had on our 3 wk European vacation. Highly recommend!

The layout of the hotel is odd because it's shared with a restaurant annd access is through a dark and narrow alley. There is no one on duty 24/7 so don't expect a rescue in an emergency such as accidentally locking yourself out of your room or the hotel after hours. My room was spacious and the bed very comfortable. Good value for money considering the very central location.
